(A/N): The dialogue is not gonna align with the episodes, I'm too lazy to rewatch them. :) So instead, I'm just gonna guess and alter the dialouge to fit the fanfic. Also this is kind of a Armin fic but there will be some moments with other characters. Also this is honestly the first piece of writing I've ever made on here so.. ALSO I DO NOT OWN ATTACK ON TITAN ALL CREDIT GOES TO ISAYAMA

"Tania!...Tania! Where are you?," the desperate cry of a mother called out as panicked citizens screamed and shoved through the streets in terror. The woman pushed through the crowds, desperate to find her missing child. No one would imagine that such a catastrophe would happen. Titans had breached Wall Maria, wreaking havoc on the surrounding towns. The mother let out another frantic sob for her daughter, continuing her run back to her home in hopes of finding her child there. It was such an ordinary day only moments ago, how could something like this happen? How could a sudden 60m titan appear and kick a hole into the 50m wall?

Another call broke out amongst the horrified screaming, "Mother! Mom, please!" The cry had come from a girl, the missing child. The girl was constantly thrown to the ground and trampled over as citizens carelessly shoved pass others to escape. But the child was not running from the danger, but toward it in a dire attempt to find her equally frantic mother. Her bruised body pleaded for rest, but she pushed through the pain of her possibly fractured bones and bruised organs. She passed by scenes that would be burned into her mind forever, people crushed under boulders, Titans devouring citizens one by one.

Tania had finally found her home, but immediately froze at the sight before her. Her father's mangled body compressed under a rock, her small home crumbled to the ground. What was more horrifying was the sight of her mother screaming bloody murder at her husband's mutilated body. She wanted to move, she wanted to run to her mother and mourn with her, but she couldn't. Her limbs refused to move from their frozen, fear-stricken state.

That's when a large shadow loomed overhead. Her body allowed her to look up, it was a titan. The giant was about 14 meters in height, a tuff of black hair sat upon its head, a permanent smile, and a disproportional body. It turned its attention to the anguished woman. Her mother's frantic screaming must've lured it straight to their demolished home..

That's when it reached its long, scrawny arm toward her. Tania immediately woke up from her daze and called out to her mom, running toward her in a panic.

"Tania, no!," a gruff, and equally panicked voice shouted, and she found herself yanked backwards and trapped in the stranger's arms. But this was no stranger to her, she looked up at her captor to find her friend's grandfather.

"What are you crazy? We have to go Tania!" A smaller voice squeaked out. She recognized that voice. Armin? The boy's blonde hair stuck his face from the sweat, his azure eyes were wide with fear.

"Armin! Mr.Arlert, let me go! My mom! My mom is back there!" Tania cried in protest, but Armin and his grandfather ran away from the chaos with her.

"I know, darling, I know. But we can't help her, we have to save ourselves," the old man told her in defeat as he ran toward the docks. Tania managed to peek over his shoulder as she struggled to break free, her mother laid limp as the titan lifted her up toward its mouth. The broken woman has given up on living. Tania could only watch in horror as her mother was crushed in half by the titan's powerful jaws.

Tania seized her struggling and simply stared, her face blank but tears continued to spill. That's it. She's gone. She's really gone.

The girl sat in the boat filled with refugees, her knees were brought up to her chest, her forehead rested on them. Her blonde friend stood next to her, but he was distracted with trying to find his other friends. Of course, she was worried for their sake as well, but she was too caught up in her emotions to consider their well-being.

"Armin. You best have a seat," Mr. Arlert suggested to his grandson. "Yea I will. I'm just looking out for my friends," Armin responded and continued to search through the crowd

"I haven't seen Mikasa or Eren yet, do you think they're okay, Tani?," Armin tried to talk to his close friend but he only received silence in return. Tania simply stared at the ground as she nervously chewed at her thumb nail.

"Heh. No. No, it's fine. It's Eren and Mikasa after all. They're gonna be just fine," he tried to reassure himself, it was clear he was trying to hold it together for her sake. Tania still didn't respond, instead she let out a sob and covered her face with her hands, crying out all her grief and despair. Images of her mother kept replaying in her mind causing her breakdown.

Armin responded to her sobs and hugged her tightly, allowing her tears to soak into his shirt. He held into her tighter as her sobs begin to calm, rubbing her back comfortingly. His own eyes glossy from his own tears. Then Eren and Mikasa appeared from the mob that pleaded to board with them. But Eren looked almost as emotionless, yet in pain. Just like Tania.

"Eren, Mikasa! You're okay," Armin greeted them relieved, still hugging Tania. Tania tightened her grip on Armin's shirt, but still peeked her head from the crook of his neck. Her and Mikasa made eye contact, her metallic black eyes softened with pity, pulling her red scarf up to cover her mouth. Tania shifted her attention to the disturbed boy. Eren finally stared up from the ground to meet her gaze, his pupils dilated from shock.

The pair simply stared at each other, almost in a mutual understanding that both had experienced something traumatic. Tania broke the eye contact between them, and buried her head back into Armin's shirt. The boat jerked to indicate its departure from the dock.

The citizens that were left stranded on the dock began to panic even more as they noticed the last boat to safety begin to leave without them. Their pleads and screaming became louder. Some of them even began leaping from the dock to force themselves onto the boat. The 4 children watched in horror as most of them failed their jumps and crashed into the water below.

Where will we go from here? My mom was mauled by a titan, my dad's body was crushed under a rock. I have no one else. Well...at least I have my friends here with me...I still have Armin.
