Chapter 3-Books and Houses

It was another boring Saturday morning. I ended up lying in my bed, blasting Ed Sheeran on my iPhone. I buried my face in a book called Wonder by R. J. Palacio. A tear rolled down my cheek as I reached the last chapter. Soon enough, I was a sobbing mess, the tissues I had used were now sprawled all over the floor. I definitely need a social life. As I finished the book, I decided I needed to go out of the house. Shouting a 'goodbye' to mom and dad, I got out of the house and found myself heading to the Starbucks down the street.

I dug my hands deeper into my jacket and began walking into the store. I inhaled the beautiful smell of  coffee and fresh cocoa beans.  After ordering a coffee, I sat myself down at a chair by the window, slowly sipping the coffee and reading the book in my hand . That's when I heard that familiar voice "Hey, um, is this seat taken?" I looked up to see those same, sea-foam green eyes. "Well, well. If it isn't the one and only, Lexi Chapman." a smirk crept up onto his face as he sat himself down on the chair in front of me "Y'know, we should really decide to meet up properly, and not just accidentally." I spoke up "Agreed." he said.

I awkwardly fumble with my fingers because I am a social recluse, and I don't know how to talk normally to people. Jesus Christ.

"So, you like reading?" he asked me, looking down at the book I held in my hand.

"Yeah, but just this one particular book." I told him.

"Why just that book?" he asked me, quirking an eyebrow.

"Wonder is an amazing book. It shows us just how perfectly imperfect we all are."

"Woah. You are seriously tempestous."

"What the hell does tempestous mean?" BIG WORDS!!!

"It means passionate."

"Oh." was the only thing I managed to say.

"Do you wanna watch a movie?" talk about fast "Um, like, right now?" I was completely dumbfounded "Yeah, like right now. So you wanna go with me or what?" Smooth and sexy "Umm, sure. Why not. It's not like you're gonna drag me into an alley and kill me right?" I was completely serious about the alley part "Completely unlikely." he replied "Sure, I guess." And with that being said, I found myself following Caspian Carter out of Starbucks, and into his cool ass Jeep.

A/N

I is back. I am a horrible author because I didn't update for a week, not that anyone cared. Also, super-duper short chapter because my brain isn't working. I was a nervous wreck all day and last night because of a school thing, but I'm back. I'll be updating more frequently.

BYE!!!
