It was early in the morning. Dan had just finished with his chores and was ready to start the day. He grabbed his hoodie and pulled up the hood.
"Lets see how today ends up," he mutters quietly before closing the door behind him and hopping on his bike.
He rode his bike to school every morning. He could take the bus,but he never felt comfortable. It was too crowded for him. So he went by himself to school. Dan sighed as some upperclassmen drove past him and jeered at him on their way to school.
Dan wasn't surprised. He'd been dealing with that for a few years now, and had learned to ignore them. Normally, he'd have earphones in, to block out other noises, but he hadn't grabbed them. He let out a quiet curse, but kept riding.
Once Dan had reached the school, he looked around a little before locking the bike in place. He froze when he saw something in the corner of his eye. Something that looked like...
A wolf? He blinked quickly and turned to get a better look, but the strange image was gone.
Did I just imagine it? He thought to himself. Or did I actually see something? He pushed the thought away and went inside, heading to his class.
He opened the door and was greeted by a silent room.
"Ah, Mr. Nakamura," the teacher said, looking up from his computer. "Glad you could make it. Take a seat."
