The Blind Luna

Is My Light Gone?

I woke up in the middle of the night to the smell of faint blood. I looked around on the cold wet floor examining if I hurt myself, but nothing. Not mine. I closed my eyes and sniffed once again. It was faint but it came from downstairs. I peeled my body off of the bathroom floor despite my misery. No matter how depressed or how much grieve I felt, I had to get up. One of the guards could be hurt and I didn't want anyone to get hurt even if its to protect me. I followed the scent but something was off. I sniffed again pine and rain. KYO! I ran downstairs switched the light on meeting a scene I dreaded. My mate lying on the floor with blood running down his chest. His eyes were closed and unconscious. I ran over placing my hand on the wound. It was to close too his heart. NO! NO! 

"KYO!! KYO!! No no no..please answer me!" Nothing. "Please open you eyes! Please!!" I placed his head in my lap still holding the pressure on his wound. The only thing on my mind was seeing those green eyes look at me once again and for the blood to stop. I placed my forehead on his with tears streaming down my face. "Please Baby. Please open your eyes." Nothing. "Please Baby." A hand fell on my hair. I looked up to be met with Kyo's eyes. " Kyo!" I kissed his lips softly. 

"Baby, why are you crying?" Kyo spoke through his pain. 

"Kyo what the hell happened?" I didn't give him time to speak. I called out to the guards that where suppose to be on watch. "ROBBIE!! DRAKE!!" They both came running in from a different part of the house and looked shocked on the scene that was placed. I looked at Drake knowing he would be the one to move quick like he did with my brother. "Get the pack doctor now!" 

"Yes Luna." He ran out of the house in a flash. I still held my hand to his chest as Kyo laid in my lap, staying awake through the pain. 

"Robbie get me a cloth something to stop the bleeding!" He did as he was told without question. I grabbed it out of his hand and quickly placed it removing my hand. I applied pressure gently and soon enough the new pack doctor came through. 

"Alpha what happened?" The doctor came to Kyo's side. 

"There is no time for that. Fix him now!" I yelled at the doctor. 

"Drake Robbie help me move the Alpha to the dinning room table." They quickly lifted Kyo and I removed all that was on the table quickly. The doctor removed the rag that was placed and held a worried look. The wound made Kyo's veins green. He stood there for a minute. I felt my blood boil. Why the hell wasn't he doing anything? 

"Why are you just standing there!? Do something! Fix my mate!" I yelled at the doctor. 

"Luna, its a silver bullet and so close to his heart. I don't know if I can get it out without it spreading the silver throughout his body. It's a very big chance. I would need to extremely gentle with removing it." I felt my fists clenched. It could be removed. Yes silver was deadly but it could be removed. 

"You will get the bullet out of my mates chest! Or I will rip your heart out!! Do you hear me!!" I yelled. I was furious. I felt my blood course and pump through my veins. Drake and Robbie stood behind him giving him a deadly stare, and waiting for my words. The doctor quickly took note of my angry and went back to work. 

"Robbie get me alcohol any kind it doesn't matter. I need a blade a small one, like one that peels apple Drake. Luna, if by chance you have anything to extract the bullet that will be needed." We quickly went to work finding the materials and handed it to him. He looked at Kyo. "Alpha, this will hurt. If I chance getting you to the hospital you wont make it in time." Kyo nodded in understanding grinding his teeth. "Luna, you will need to stay by Alpha's side for this." I quickly grabbed Kyo's hand and kissed his forehead. He dumped a tiny bit of alcohol on the wound which made Kyo grunt in pain. 

"Goddammit!!" Kyo yelled. He went to grab at the wound but Drake and Robbie soon held his arms down. The doctor then cut the wound open to get to the bullet. Grabbed a cloth and dabbed it. 

"Alright you boys better hold on to him. Alpha try to stay still." The doctor spoke. I stroke his hair to try and relief his pain through the bound. After a while the doctor extracted the bullet and the green veins soon started to lighten up. Kyo was so tired. Sweat dripped from his head. It killed me to see him like this. Soon he was stitched up. 

"Luna, we need to take him to the hospital to make sure there wont be any infections." The doctor said. 

"Yes, lets do that." I said motioning towards the men. Looking at Kyo his eyes started to close. He must have drifted off from the pain. 

When we got to the hospital Kyo laid in bed still drifted soundly asleep. I've waiting hours from the tests the doctor took. Once the doctor came in he sat on a chair pulling it close to me. 

"Luna, I have some good news and bad news." I didn't want to hear it but I had too. I noticed the name on his white coat and spoke. 

"I'm ready Brad." 

"The bullet extraction went excellent. There is no silver left in his body. However, he has slipped into a coma. I believe it was due to the pain and the silver." A coma? 

"Will he wake up?" I would wait for however long needed for my love and I knew that. 

"It could be a day, weeks, months. I am not sure. I am sorry Luna." He hung his head in shame.  

"No. You did everything you could thank you." He soon exited. I pulled myself by Kyo and laid my small body by his big figure on the hospital bed. I stroked his hair and placed my hand on his making slow circles. I felt tears well up and I let them fall. 

"Kyo, I love you. Please come back to me. I need you more then I need myself." I stopped to kiss is forehead. "His Luna needs her Alpha."
