Chapter 1

A N N A

"Annaaaaaa! Wake uuuuup!" The maid shouted.

"Hell no!" I yelled back. I can hear her footsteps nearing to my room. Suddenly, my blankets were pulled down, causing me to groan and cover my head with a pillow. "Go away!" I exclaimed. "No." She replied shortly. Knowing her, she will never give up. I threw her a glare and made a 'shoo-ing' gesture with my hands. "Fine, fine. Let me change." She smiled and went out the door.

I sighed and looked for clothes to wear. I finally chosed a white top that says 'Good Vibes' and wore shorts. I ran downstairs and literally fell two steps down. "Oh shit, that hurts." This day isn't starting so good. I ate breakfast, brushed my teeth and slipped my black heels on. It's the first day of school, that means no uniform wearing. I walked to my school peacefully, when someone poked me on my side. "Wassup?" A boy asked.

I turned around and saw my best friend, Sean Gilbert. He gave me a hug, wich I returned happily. "I missed you, where have you been this summer?" I questioned. "House, been playing basketball with Derrick." He shrugged. We continued to walk until we reached our destination. The guard opened the gate, "Good morning." He greeted. Me and Sean nodded in response.

Ford University, this is what I considered as hell. We made our way through the throng of students and teachers. The bell rang and I went in the History classroom, after giving Sean a wave. I sat near the corner and looked outside the window.

The teacher was already introducing herself when someone bursted from the door. "I am so sorry Miss Wong, please continue." A female voice apologised. I turned around to see my best friend Kaye going to her seat.

"It's okay, we were just starting." Miss Sandra said with a smile, Kaye smiled back. Miss Sandra explained the stuff we will do this year. I didn't listen, instead, I kept staring at the soccer field. Then, a boy caught my attention. He was playing soccer and I definitely knew he was the one for me.

I went inside the cafeteria and heard laughing. I looked up and saw 'The One'. If you forgot, he's the one playing soccer, my ultimate crush. He was with 4 other boys, but my eyes only looked at him. He looked at my direction and started walking towards me. Oh My Goose! I batted my eyelashes and smiled. But when my beautiful moment was about to come.....

"Hey Rina, thanks for the tour," he said while heading to someone behind me.

My eyes twitched in annoyance and anger. Why is it always her?!? "Welcome." Was her reply. My crush waved over the four boys he was with earlier. The blond-haired boy took her hand and kissed it. "I believe you are Rina Burns?" He asked with an accent. The female frog nodded and smiled.

"First day of school, Nash, don't hit on her. I'm Trevor by the way. " A guy introduced himself. "My name's Aaron, I'm with you when you gave the tour." The third boy said. "I'm Lucas and I'm the oldest in the group." A brunette grinned. "Um, excuse me miss, but you're blocking our way." My love said, waving a hand on my face. My eyes twitched again, then I fainted.

When I came to, I felt someone slapping me gently. "Who are you?" I groaned and squinted my eyes to see the person. I was shocked to see.....HIM! HIM! HIIIM! "My name's Paul Monroe. " He said. "Is she okay?" A voice asked. It's HER! HER! HEEER! "Sorry, but we need to go now." Rina said and dragged Paul out of the room, before I could protest.

K A Y E

Yes! This day is finally over. I did a little victory dance and ran to the parking lot. I bumped into someone and my notes flew everywhere. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking." I apologised. A hand helped me pick up the papers. "It's fine, I wasn't looking either. " The boy smiled, which I returned. "Thank you." I said. He patted my head and said, "No problem." I stuck my hand out and introduced myself, "I'm Kaye Ford. Nice to meet you." He accepted my hand and replied, "Paul Monroe."

A car honked and we turned around. "Miss Ford, we're going now." The butler said. "Goodbye Paul, thanks again." I waved and hurried to the car. I think he's a transfer student, I never saw him before.

"Liam, let's stop at Burger King before going home please." I told our driver. He nodded and took a left turn. A few minutes later, we were at Burger King's drive thru. "What will be your order Miss Ford?" The butler asked. "Butler, just call me Kaye, alright? And I'll have 3 Chicken Royale with cheese, 3 fries and BK fusions Kit Kat." I said while smiling.

"Of course, Kaye." he replied and took my order. I gave him money for the bill and he paid. When I got my food, I gave them a burger and fries each. "Thank you." they chorused. After 6 minutes, we were home. Butler opened the door while I rushed inside the house. A maid opened the door and greeted me. I smiled and nodded my head. "Kaaaye!" Mackenzie screamed. "Geez, lower your voice." I grumbled. "I'm in first grade! Aren't you happy?" she asked. "Of course I am, you're my sister, but you don't have to yell."

She nodded and walked away. I washed my hands and decided to call my friends. I started to speak, "Do you want a sleepover?" The replies I got were nothing but squeals. "Okay then, see ya!" Was the last thing I said before hanging up. I took out marshmallows, biscuits and chocolate. I wanna make s'mores. I climbed upstairs and watched a random movie. Halfway through the movie, three girls hugged me from behind, causing me to choke.

"We miss youuu!" they smiled. "I don't believe you." I stated simply and they stuck their tounges out at me. "What pizza do you want?" I asked and took my phone out. "You pick." Nicki shrugged. "Nooo! She's gonna choose Hawaiian!" Julia exclaimed dramatically. "I will also be ordering Ham & Cheese." I said. Her mood instantly changed. "Do you know how much I love you?" Julia gushed. I rolled my eyes and ordered food.

"Girls, while we're waiting, let's catch up." Rina suggested.

"Okay, what happened to you today, Julia?" I inquired. "My seatmate's annoying and his smell reeks." she deadpanned. "Moving on to Nicki!" Rina smiled nervously. "Hmm, we already got a project in Chemistry." Nicki thought. "Well, I gave a tour for transfer students, and they're British?"

"Boys or girls?" I asked while wiggling my eyebrows. "2 boys 3 girls, but there are more, I think you'll be in charge."

I replied with a British accent, "The horror of walking around with a group of people trailing behind me!" They giggled and I joined.

"Miss For-I mean Kaye, the pizza is downstairs." Butler announced. We thanked him and hurried to the kitchen. "Pizza!" I screamed. "When was the last time you ate one?" Rina asked. "A long time ago!" I yelled yet again. "Would that 'long time ago' actually be yesterday?" Julia inquired suspiciously. "No," I started and they breathed a sigh of relief, "I ate one at school." They stared at me like I was nuts. I looked at them confused and opened the box.

"Come on guys, dig in." I smiled. The sleepover went great, we did s'mores, I ate half of them, we did makeovers, talked about our crush, even though I don't have one, I'm Cupid, why should I have one?

Anywho, the girls tried to set me up with Paul, I told them about that cliché encounter and it turns out, Rina gave him a tour, with a few friends that is. And I am still not interested in boys.
