17. Day 40

"Look, everyone's gonna be there tonight including Enhypen so if you don't come we won't help you make chocolates for Valentine's," Chaeryeong tried to explain. Guess what day it was? It was Itzy's 2nd anniversary.

And guess who got pretty unlucky? Taehyun got blackmailed into having to help Beomgyu and Somi make the chocolates for the school's Valentine event. And not only that, Yuna, Ryujin and Chaeryeong volunteered to help too. 2021's chocolate demands were soaring very high, so they would have to work their asses off the next day to make chocolate at Somi's house. The more people help, of course the faster they would be able to finish ticking off all the orders. But most of them were girls. And that was a problem for Taehyun. Why?

Not that girls are all the same, but Ryujin, Chaeryeong, Yuna and Somi were pretty much the same people when they were together. Giggly, bubbly, noisy, and well, annoying.

And man, how much more unlucky could he possibly be? TXT was invited to their private anniversary party with the rest of the successful 4th generation idol-athletes. Or, threatened to join the party.

Life is hard, thought Taehyun to himself. Ateez, Stray Kids, NCT dream, aespa, Somi, Enhypen, Treasure, Everglow, Loona, Cravity, (G)-Idle, Iz*one, tUmorOu bAi tUdorO. What a party.

Taehyun went back inside the classroom and slid into his seat next to Beomgyu's.

"Beom-hyung, have you heard about the party?" Taehyun asked him in class .

"It's Itzy's birthday," Beomgyu nodded, not looking up from the book he was reading.

"Yeah, and don't we have practice with the decoy team today? You know, BigHit trainees team."

"Hmm, the party is actually a good excuse for getting out of our dreadful practice court."

Taehyun bit his lip. Sure, a party would sound like a good idea. At least, it's not as bad as BigHit's rickety basketball practice court. Or the unprofessional trainees.

"Should we come?" Taehyun asked again, right before the teacher came inside the class.

"What are you talking about?" Beomgyu frowned at him, "Of course you should! But I can't."

"Wha— why?"

"It's Rosie-noona's birthday today," Beomgyu replied with a kitty smile as he stood up and commanded the class to greet the teacher.

*flashback to one day ago*

"Beomgyu, it's Chaeyoung's birthday tomorrow," Taehyung said as they sat next to each other in BigHit's athlete lounge. The basketball players rarely ever come there, but Taehyung would come over to their dorm and take Beomgyu out for a chat. Daegu kids stuff.

"And?" Beomgyu asked in between slurps of his banana milk.

"Well, there's gonna be a big party tomorrow night for her, and I want you to come with me."

Beomgyu almost choked. "Why?"

"Why are you questioning your hyung?"

"Because why can't you go with your members and ask me to come too?"

Taehyung cleared his throat, "if there was one other person I would ask out, it would be Jungkook-ah. But he's Chaeyoung's boyfriend so I don't wanna end up third-wheeling. Or Jimin would be a good idea but he would get drunk again so he'll take Suga-hyung with him to make sure they both get home without a driving ticket. And you should take this as a golden opportunity, don't you think? After all, we're both Chaeyoung's fanboys."

So Beomgyu actually choked that time.

"Okay, hyung. Thank you."

*flashback off*
