After spending around an hour talking to the specially trained officer about the way she felt after receiving the flowers Carla wanted to burn them, no one could blame her and if it made her feel better Peter would let her. She retreated upstairs soon after and Peter knew it was going to be a long night, they took the letter off for forensic analysis in the attempt that they may be able to get Lucas' fingerprints but Carla had a gut feeling he would be too smart to do that. It was a long night and Carla just wouldn't sleep, she was crying and Peter could tell her body was exhausted due to all the worry he had to question whether it was right to keep her here on the street as Lucas would know where she was and could haunt her from here onwards. He was scared for her safety, very scared and he wanted to get her away from all of this pain and that in itself would be difficult as they would have to be smart is she did want that. The problem was that he didn't know what she wanted and asked her about such a thing she was not in the right frame of mind to even make a decision.
"No!" she cries out her hands pulling at her hair, he immediately holds her, her body dripping with sweat "I can't do this Peter I can't do it anymore he's in my head and I can't get him out!"
"Oh baby" he whispers into her head as she breathes rapidly and forcefully, he rubs his hand up and down her back the sweat seeping through the shirt of his he gave her in an attempt to make her sleep a bit better but that failed by the looks of things
"I can't do this!" she exclaims before going into the bathroom, he sighs running a hand over his face before the tears prick his eyes at the thought of seeing Carla so distressed, gently he gets up and knocks on the door, she opens it and falls into his arms
"It'll be ok," he says reassuring her, his fingers massaging her scalp, he walks her into the bedroom and she immediately places the music to distract her, he holds her as they sway in time with the music which was calming her surprisingly as they glide around the short space in the bedroom
"I'm sorry"
"No" he whispers as they continue to away gently "You seem calmer now?"
"This is making me calm," she says quietly, he smiles at her kissing her on the top of the head, nothing else mattered in the world apart from this, apart from them being here and holding each other
"I love you so much," he says into her head, he feels her arms tighten around his body in response, she looks up at him standing on her tiptoes and kissing him softly on the lips as he cups the base of her head in his hand
"Thank you," she says simply, thanking him for showing the love that Lucas wouldn't give her or manipulate her to have, it was simple with him even though they were complicated but the feelings of love were there simply
"Shall we get back into bed?" he asks, she looks up and nods turning the music off and lying beside him, she rests her head on his chest and it wasn't long before they were both asleep again, their presences helping one another through this difficult time...
She woke up with a sheepish smile on her face, she shook her head playfully allowing him to hold her and kiss her, she hummed slightly before yawning rather cutely causing a smile to be displayed on his face. They got up and Carla got dressed, she then sat on the bed watching him get changed biting her lip, on instinct she got up and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him passionately, her tongue gliding around his as he kisses her back if he was honest he was taken aback by her instigation but he continued not wanting to make her feel weak or upset by this whole situation. Her hands fell to his belt and she bit her lip and undid it before leaning up to kiss him again noticing he was hesitating, she took his hand and placed it on the top of her leggings looking into his eyes to say that she was ok with it, gently he took her leggings off and lifted her up, her legs wrapping around his body as they continued to kiss, gently placing her down on the bed he removed her underwear and she removed his before pushing him off her.
