How to kill a TimeLord

I know the basics of regeneration, if a timelord suffers a fatal wound or is dying it triggers there regeneration cycle. But are there other ways of killing a timelord? For example, an instant death, that wouldn't trigger there regeneration cycle. I was thinking a clean shot straight through the head, or a close range explosion, or maybe even a disintegrater. What do you guys think?

The most effective way to kill a Time Lord is to stab them in both hearts before the regeneration starts. It was in some audio story but I don't remember the name. As shown in The Deadly Assassin the timelords had weapons capable of killing fellow timelords without them regenerating.
