Chapter 44 – No hope

KENNY’S POV

“It’s her” I said, grabbing ben’s bag and throwing it at him then I started walking towards the main gate.

“How can you tell by a stupid scream?”  He muttered.

I spun around and stared at him, anger bubbling through my veins.

“ DO NOT say a word, I don’t trust you but listen closely to me now  you do not know  her , yeah okay you know whatever you have heard form who the fuck ever but you will never EVER understand the pain , the friendship , happiness , deaths , anger that she has seen or experienced , you were NOT there , you were Not there to see her survive , TO see her live! I know her, all you will ever be is some guy who heard stories about her. You will never know her like I do. So how can I tell by a stupid scream huh? Because kid I know her” I snapped, walking past the main gates and walking out.

I could hear Ben hurrying after me as I stormed out. Then I heard a gunshot and a girl screaming and crying, then her cries for help stopped as another gunshot pierced the air.

I rushed down the road and quickly hid behind a shed when I saw a group of men with guns, guarding a bunch of girls, one of them we pushing a dead girl into a ditch. I saw a smaller cages and I saw children, boys and girls stuffed into these cages. I saw 3 larger cages, filled with girls. One had 2 girls in, and on was a teenage girl, with long black hair, just sitting there, not being fazed by the scene happening in front of her. Then there she was, clementine, laying there next to the girl, covered in blood and not moving. Her hat was lying next to her and I could not see her chest moving up and down, that meant there were no signs of breathing. 

I could feel my anger bubbling up and up, my mind was racing like my heart as it was beating out of my chest. I needed to get her, to hold her and keep her safe, I went to charge at them when I get pulled back. I turned around and ben was standing there.

“Kenny don’t” he pleaded.

“Excuse me? Don’t? Clementine might be dead and your saying don’t?!”

“Kenny please you don’t know them!”

“What and you do?!”

Ben’s face held guilt and pain but also a part happiness.

“Oh my god…..it was them that let them in….your with them aren’t you? Oh Jesus, it’s them you’re working with”

How are u all?!   I legit just wrote this at 1 in the morning because I can’t sleep :/
