The flower was looking around, terrified. He didn't know why he was scared, but it seemed reasonable. He was in Waterfall. The Echo Flowers were strangely silent. There was a sob to his right. He looked in the direction where it had come from to see a small human girl. She was young, about 9 or 10ish. She wore a violet dress and looked pale and sickly. She saw him staring and turned in worry.

"Dad? Why are you looking at me like that?"

Dad?

He wasn't anybody's Dad!

Before he could protest, he had wrapped the small child in vines. His mind was chanting kill her, kill her, kill her, and he thought his vines would think the same, but they didn't. Instead, they gently played with the child's hair and laid her on the ground.

"Dad's just stuck in thought, Eve." Flowey's mouth moved on his own, barely aware of the words he was saying.

(What? NO! Kill her! She's a filthy human!)

Her name is Eve? That's nice-

(NO! No, it is not! Kill her!)

But, she's my daught-

(NO, NO, NO! She is NOT! She is a HUMAN!)

Apparently, he had been making unusual sounds because the girl turned to look at him.

"Dad, what's -"

"SHUT UP!" He yelled. The girl shrunk back in fear. He expected her to start crying like some pathetic sap. When he didn't hear anything, he turned. The girl was laying on the ground, unmoving.

Oh, God, there was so much blood.

Flowey was next to her in an instant.

"Eve? C-Can you hear me? EVE?" He yelled, shaking the girl's body. He started crying for whatever reason. He didn't even know her. Why was he so attached?

"P-Please...E-Eve..." He begged. "C'mon, sweetie..."

That wasn't her full name.

What had it been?

Just as he felt himself being pulled away, he remembered.

Her name was...

"EVANNA!" *

Flowey looked around in a panic. Where was she? She was dead, dead, dead and it was all because he didn't pay attention-

There was the shuffling of sheets. He looked over hopefully, only to see a smaller figure below him. The shelf he was on didn't allow him to see much, but he saw the figure was wearing blue PJs. A light was suddenly turned on; A lamp. Flowey could see the face clearly now. It wasn't that Evanna character. Instead, it was...

"Frisk? What are you doing here?"

The child looked at him with concern. They signed something which Flowey had to squint to see.

("Live here.")

Even the hand movements were deadpan.

"What? Oh, yes, of course. How could I forget."

The two said nothing until there was the sound of hands moving again.

("Nightmare?")

"No! I just..." He thought for a moment. "J-Just, uh...ugh! Why do you want to know anyway?!" He snapped. Frisk smiled and picked him up. Vines shot up from the ground and gripped the wooden shelf the flower was being taken off of.
