"Arther, can you hear me?"
I gasp for a gulp of air and my eyes shoot open. The light is so bright. Where am I?
"Arther, can you hear me?"
My head hurts. Everything's white and blurry. There are people surrounding me. I can't tell who they are. Did I die? Am I in heaven?
"Arther, I want you to look at me."
I turn to the voice, which sends searing pain throughout my body. The person the voice came from is equally as white as the rest of the room. I can't recognize his voice and my vision is still to blurry to know who he is.
"Very good. Now I want you to slowly raise your arm and then put it back down."
I try to life my arm, but I just lift a finger before a yelp escapes my mouth. I look down at my arm to see long scratches and bruises up and down my arm. My breath starts to quicken. I think I'm hyperventilating.
"Arther! Look at me! You are fine, your safe. Take nice, slow deep breathes. Concentrate on slowing your heart down."
I close my eyes. It's reliving to get a break from all the white surrounding me. I take a deep breath, which also hurts. Everything hurts. Why? What happened? Where am I? I open my eyes to look at the person. My vision is clearer now and I see a tall blonde haired person in a white cloak. I think he's a doctor. Am I in a hospital?
I open my mouth to speak but a horse sound escapes instead.
"Arther, your voice won't work because of some medicine your on. It's a side effect, but should wear off soon. I am doctor Simon." He takes a step toward me." Do you remember anything that happened?"
I shake my head.
" Do you know the people behind me?"
I glance behind him. There are four people. The two older are both brown haired and blue eyed. One a woman and one a man. I immediately recognize them as my parents. The little one sitting beside them looks to be around 4, hanging in to his mothers shirt and looking at me with intense green eyes with a look of concern. I recognize him too. He's Gavin, my little brother. The last one I don't recognize. He is tall and slim and glances away from me. He has brown eyes and black hair. I lift my other arm, which seems to be in better condition than my other, and point at the black haired kid.
" Hmm. That's quite interesting. You don't remember him at all?"
I shake my head. Pain.
"That is Jacob."
Jacob... Jacob, Jacob.....wait.
Suddenly I am in a green field. The sun is warm on my back as I chase four other people.
Tag.
I stop when we come around a tree. Did I just see something move?
"Hello?" I hear a voice say. It was mine. Something jumps out from behind a tree and touches me.
" Tag! Your it!" a boy screams beside me.
"Mason! Don't scare me like that!"
"I'm sorry I'm just excited! My brother just went back to England with mom. We had the best time."
"What is your brothers name again?" I ask. I'm afraid to know the answer.
"I can't believe you don't remember.
I talk about him, like, all the time. It's Jacob!"
