*2 days later*
'Hello...Niall, can you here me!? Hello?' l put the phone down. Why wasn't he picking up? I hadn't heard from him for 2 days and I needed to know if he was going to be back in time for Prom like he said. I also wanted to know how it had gone with SYCO. Had it gone well? He hadn't told me anything, neither had any if the other boys! How something gone so wrong? All these questions needed answers, now.
I sent him a message on anything I had in contact with him. And then I put my phone on the coffee table, went to get a shower and got dressed ready to meet Teri and Charlie in town for a mature coffee on the local cafe.
'Hey guys!' 'Hey G, how are you!?' Teri asked, looking slightly worried and preoccupied. 'I'm fone thanks, just a bit tired and lonesome. But Nialls coming back today so that feeling shouldn't last!' I said, smiling at that thought. 'Umm, yeh, about that' Charlie started. 'See, umm, Zayn phoned me this morning and he said, well the meeting with SYCO went really well, so well in fact that they went to America yesterday to a recording studio in LA and they dont think they will be back, well won't be back.' Charlie stuttered. 'They dont think they'll be back in time for prom is what charlies trying to say.' Teri finished, looking down and sighing. 'America!? Wow! That's, that's some big stuff. Well im pleased for them, I am really.' So that's why Niall wasn't answering his calls, stupid time zones! But why didn't he tell me that he was going. I wouldn't have been angry, not like I am now having it hear it from another person. 'Harry said that Niall wanted to tell you and he was going to ring you as soon as he got the news but, well it was so busy and everything, I guess he didn't get a chance to, and with the time zones and everything.' Teri tried to explain, but I showed no emotion. I was angry at him for not telling me, but more upset that he wasn't going to be here for Prom. 'umm, sorry guys. Just realised what the time is, I need to go make sure everything is set up for the prom tomorrow! I'll speak to you later!' I said as I grabbed my bag and coat and walk out of the cafe. Why didn't he let me know. I felt my phone vibrate, a message from Teri. "chin up love, everything will be ok! Let me know when you get home and we'll have a girly night, just you and me! I think a soppy movie is in order right now xxxxx" I smiled as I sent her a message back, and headed towards the venue for the prom, which was now pointless in my eyes.
*1 hour later*
I was busy placing down the names in places arranged on the list. I had been doing this for ages and my legs and arms were slowly starting to ache. I accidentally dropped some of the place names, and included in them was Nialls. I picked it up and muttered to myself 'that won't be needed anymore' as I put it in my pocket. I carried on searching through endless sheets of inked paper and placing down bent card with calligraphied names on on repetitive table cloths of gold, silver and black. Only another 12 tables, and 144 place names to go.
