Kinusot ko ang aking mata at dahan-dahang bumangon at umupo sa kama.

"How long have you been here? Sana ginising mo na lang ako pag-pasok mo." ani ko at umayos ng upo.

Umiling siya, "You need to rest. And you looked peaceful while you're sleeping. I don't want to be a bother." aniya at naglagay ng unan sa likod ko.

"What happened awhile ago. I don't get it." he said then he looked at me.

"You're Alles?" tanong niya at bakas pa rin ang pagtataka sa mga mata.

Tumango ako at tipid na ngumiti, "The reason why I'm asking you kanina about this marriage is because, you don't even remember me." pag-amin ko.

Tumingin ako sa mga mata niyang may bahid pa rin ng pagtatanong.

"It makes me think that you just want this marriage because I'm carrying your child. And if happened that I'm not pregnant? You wouldn't even dare to faced me here and asked for a marriage, right?" dugtong ko pa.

Hindi siya nagsalita.

"Kung hindi mo naman ako nabuntis, wala ka naman talaga dapat ngayon dito di'ba? Isa pa may nakilala kang ibang 'Alles'. So, bakit ka magsasayang ng oras sa akin kung hindi mo man ako nabuntis." paliwanag ko pa.

Agad siyang napailing, "No. It's not like that." aniya.

"Everyone in this house ay alam kung ano ka para sa akin. Kaya ganoon na lang ang galit ko kay Dad kasi parang alam niya na si Azrea ang nakilala mong Alles." ani ko.

Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko at hinaplos ang mga ito.

"I'm sorry. After 17 years, I've decided to go back here after my Dad died." aniya.

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa sinabi niya. Tito died?

"I'm only 19 when Dad died in a car accident. I was alone there with Mom and my sister for 6 years. So, I've decided to go back here last year." patuloy niya ng mapansin ang gulat ko.

Hindi ako makapagsalita.

Pero paano niyang nakilala si Azrea? Azrea's not even here when he left Manila.

"The day when I finally back here in Manila. Tito Alfredo contacted me. He's with Alle---I mean, Azrea. He's with her when I met him." paliwanag niya.

Huh! So, I'm right. It was, Dad.

"I asked him why Tita Karina isn't with him. He said that they've separated. He introduced her to me as Allessana. I didn't doubt him for that because he's your Dad. So, I thought, she's really you." aniya. Napatango ako. I can't blamed him.

Paano nga naman ba niya maiisip iyon kung kasama si Dad. At ipinakilala pa ito sa kanya.

"I didn't even have a chance to doubt her. Because she knew me. She told me she missed me calling her Alles. That's how I called you, right?" patuloy niya.

Tumango ako, "Are you with her? I mean, kayo ba?" tanong ko. I can't help it. I wanna ask him more.

Umiling siya, "I can't be with her. I don't know why. Whenever I looked at her, whenever I'm with her, there's something wrong. I feel so empty. Hindi ganoon ang nararamdaman ko sa Alles na kilala ko even though we were so young back then." aniya.
