Hope

For some, hope is gone

Praying at night, forgetting at dawn

Leaving cuz the responses lack

Feels as if you've been stabbed in the back

The thoughts have been planted in your mind

You believe they are yours to find

But the enemy has put them there

You say it's unfair

But you have one by your side

One who has never lied

To banish the enemy back to hell

Where you will never dwell

For God has saved your life

Redeemed you from your strife

To glue back the shattered

What's was once bruised and battered

You must dwell in the word

Others might say it's absurd

To talk to one who isn't here

But you hold God near

To help in times of trouble

Pick you up from the rubble

In your life, he is the light

With him, you can stand the fight
