"WHY DON'T YOU TRY AND TALK TO HIM AGAIN?" Kajsa sat on Loki's bed as the god of mischief paced back and forth in front of her. The couple was supposed to be getting ready for the trip. However, they were both unsettled about the whole ordeal.
"You know my brother," Loki shook his head. "Once he has his mind set, there is no stopping him. As mad as the idea is, I can't let him go alone. He is my brother."
"You're right, I agree. We should all go. Thor would support all of us, and he has." Kajsa stood, stopping Loki so he would look into her concerned gray eyes. "But this could potentially do more harm than good. It would be smarter to figure how they got through the Bifrost. If we do that, problem solved, and we avoid a war."
A smile crept upon Loki's mischievous pale face.
"Have I said something amusing?" Kajsa crossed her arms over her chest, offended.
"Nothing," he rubbed her arms affectionately. "You sound like a Queen. A wise counsel that I'd need if I were to be put on that throne." Loki said with disappointment.
"Is being your wife, not enough?" Kajsa caressed his cold cheek.
"Nonsense," he smiled, kissing her warm lips passionately.
It was a secret - their marriage. With so many people against their courtship, they thought it'd be best to have a ceremony of their own. After all, how they felt about each other was the only thing that mattered.
The only person who knew of their secret nuptials was Thor. He was their only witness and has kept his word of not telling anyone.
"Don't mind me," Loki chuckled sadly. "I just . . ."
"I know," Kajsa wrapped her arms around his neck. "What is it that I always tell you?"
"A throne and a crown do not mean one is a king."
"Exactly," she nodded, "and I stand by that. You may not be a king to Asgard, but you're a king to me. You're my king, Loki."
"Is that you're way of telling me that if the roles reversed, you'd take my side as queen?"
Kajsa chuckled a bit, looking away - as much as the man she loved wanted to be king. She never wanted to be a queen. She found the duty quite suffocating, like being put in a box.
Wear this, don't say that. Do this, but don't do things like that.
Being close to the king and queen, she knew being a leader drew certain freedoms back. Not to mention the pressure of leading a people.
Kajsa would have enough responsibility protecting the Bifrost.
Then again, if push came to shove. When it came to Loki -
"Yes," she nodded. "If the roles reversed. "I'd be your Queen."
"Good thing you already are," Loki made her blush.
The couple shared a long, lingering kiss.
"We should get going," Kajsa intertwined her fingers with his. "The more we linger, the more your father is bound to find out what we are up to."
"You go," Loki patted her hand. "There's something I need to do."
"Okay," Kajsa nodded.
A worried Loki gulped, watching her go.
