present day

After that incident, Aiden agreed to my plan. He left and took his mother with him. He also asked me to protect Yuki. At first, I didn't want to, but eventually, I gave in. I guess this was my way of paying for what my father had done.

It wasn't a coincidence that I met and became friends with Haruki, I chose her since I thought she would be the easiest to approach, well I was wrong. I deliberately approached her at the coffee shop where she always studied. The place was convenient, close to my office. I almost developed a crush on her because she was totally my type, but that feeling quickly faded because of how cold she treated me. I don't like cold girls.

I also started my own company with the help of Yunah and Brendon, and it was a success. I managed to juggle being both a company owner and a prosecutor.

It was all part of the plan. I knew Yuki would be furious if she ever found out about the things I did, so I did everything I could to keep it a secret.

Aiden eventually became a model for Brendon's company after he graduated from college. I pushed Yunah to be his manager, and she eagerly agreed because she had a crush on him back in high school. While everything was falling into place, I didn't intend to fall for Yuki. At first, I just saw her as a little sister—she was so lively and fun to be around, she reminded me of my youngest sister before I developed feelings towards her.

Over time, I built my own house and separated from my family for good. I also got used to not using my last name, wanting to keep Yuki in the dark about my true identity. Over the years, my plan went off without a hitch, and now here we are.

I intentionally kept the flash drive that holds crucial evidence. I'm just waiting for Aiden to gather the courage to face Yuki again. When the time is right, we'll fight the case together, and this time we won't lose, even if our father is the one we're up against.

After catching up with Yunah, I decided to head back to the family house. I knew everyone would be there, so I braced myself. I was sure they'd all seen the recent news, and I wasn't sure if Dad was going to fight it or finally give up.

When I arrived, Arthur greeted me. He walked over and patted my shoulder. "I assume you've seen the news?" he asked. I glanced around, looking for Angel. He did the same, scanning the room. "Angel isn't here yet. I think she's at her office. I just hope this won't affect her too much, especially since she's just starting out," he said, concern clear in his voice. I sighed in response.

"You got my message, right?" I asked, wanting to shift the conversation away from Angel. He looked up at me—I'm taller than him, so he barely reached my shoulder.
