The report is as per a study.This was published on Monday in the New England Journal of Medicine, by Icahn School of Medicine Scientists at Mount Sinai In New York. This was a research done of the blood samples collected from 110 people out of which 43 has covid previously while 63 were not previously infected. All 100 participants were given a dose of Moderna or Pfizer vaccine based on the latest RNA technology (ribonucleic acid).

The results showed that participants who were infected by coronavirus earlier rapidly formed a high antibody uniform titer right after their first dose of the vaccination. By "titer" we mean blood concentration. The samples of these participants were repeatedly sampled and scientists concluded that after few days of the first shot, the antibody level was 10-45 % higher in those who were previously infected compared to those who were not.
By the time of their second shot, the level of antibodies in the previously infected group was 6 times higher than those who were not infected. However, there was no increase in the antibody level in the infected group upon the second dose of the vaccine. The scientist mentioned, the booster hardly had any benefit from the previously infected group. There was no noticeable difference in the level of antibody production between the two doses. The team of scientists also studied any kind of side effects between the two groups, a study was done on 230 participants.
Ideally, there were no signs of any serious side effects that led to hospitalization. The recipient who had previously suffered from covid and had preexisting immunity proved to have a slightly higher level of mild to moderate effects such as chills, headaches, fever, joint pain, and muscle pain. However, the team informed that the results are based on very limited data and the trends need to be confirmed with more research.
