"Monster"

I don't think anyone was born a monster.

"You don't?"

Yeah, nobody's really born a monster. You may argue it with the fact some people don't feel, but I'm pretty sure that they can be helped in some way. People only become "monsters" because they think they are. Something happened that made them think that way. It may be a huge setback in their personal development, failure, a problem, but all these things have one thing in common.

Loss.

We lose someone. We lose something. We lose to something. And that changes us drastically. However, in those lowest points in your life, you'll be able to reflect on yourself. That is when you decide if you want to continue being a "monster", or you change...for the better.

"...but what about me.."
The child says crying. You can't help but cry when a child does too. Especially, if that child...was you.

It was one of those nights. Sleepless. Filled with overthinking, regret, and sorrow.

You couldn't solve your problem...so you tried to do it for someone else. It just so happened to be your past self.

"I never recovered right?"
"I don't think you have..." ,
says the child through sobs.
