Dream stood in the middle of the kitchen, staring down at his phone, before George ran over and jumped him, nearly knocking him over. Dream managed to not drop his phone, but he tripped into the fridge.
"What?" Dream asked, confused.
"Guess that we're going to be doing today?" George sang in Dream's ear.
Dream facepalmed. "I said you didn't need to do anything special for my birthday!"
"We're going to an amusement park nearby! I've got tickets for both of us!" George continued, ignoring what Dream said.
"George!" Dream whined. "Seriously?"
"We're going!" George danced away. "Get changed before I drag you out in your pajamas. Although to be fair, you'd look pretty great in anything." He winked, making Dream blush profusely.
"If you keep on teasing me like that we're staying in for my birthday." Dream called back, which George pointedly ignored. Dream shook his head with a smile on his face, then made his way to the bedroom to change while George went to the bathroom.
They both emerged at the same time, bumping into each other.
"Woah!" Dream held out his hands, grabbing George's forearms in an effort to not topple back into the bedroom. "Jeez, are you high? Or did you have too much sugar for breakfast?"
"I'm high on life, baby!" George crooned in an extremely off-pitch tone. Dream made a face.
"Remind me to never ask you to sing ever again."
"AND NOW THAT INTERSTATE IS PAVED WITH MEMORIES!" George shouted to the heavens, and Dream groaned, facepalming.
"Come on, the amusement park, remember?" Dream interrupted George's dreadful karaoke session.
"Now you want to go?" George immediately stopped singing, smirking at Dream.
"Just anything, please not a singing performance." Dream begged.
"I'll be singing on the drive there!" George snickered before dragging Dream outside to the car, while Dream, on the other hand, loudly complained, only shutting up when George gave him a kiss that left him breathless and promised another if Dream shut up for the rest of the ride.
It was a pretty good deal. Just saying.
"And we're here!" George announced, pulling up to a colorful display of rides and all sorts of games, with a multitude of prizes decked out. "Pretty nice, no?" He asked.
"My kiss?" Dream asked. George gave him a quick peck on the lips.
"Scammer." Dream muttered under his breath, which George clearly caught. However, George didn't say anything, merely repeating his question.
Dream shrugged, reluctant to admit that he was pretty excited and pleased. "It looks alright. Where do you want to go first?"
"That's up to you, birthday boy." George smiled genuinely, which gave Dream not butterflies in his stomach, but the whole damn zoo. George let them in with the tickets while Dream looked around, all the while not letting go of each other's hands.
"Can we go win one of those giant plushies?" Dream asked, tugging George to get his attention.
"Sure. Which one do you want?" George replied, looking back at Dream.
"That large fluffy cloud thingy." Dream pointed it out.
"Okay. Let's go." George grabbed Dream's arm and began dragging him to the booth. "Now, don't argue, I'm going to do it."
Dream immediately opened his mouth to argue and George shut him up with another kiss that left Dream breathless.
"Say another word, and I'm withholding those from you for a week." George said shortly, and Dream obeyed, too much in a daze anyway to form coherent words and sentences. The worker looked a little uncomfortable from their blatant display of PDA but didn't say anything when George paid up and began trying to shoot the darts through the balloons.
George won the cloud plushie pretty quickly and tossed it over to Dream, who was still standing there with a blush on his face. Dream caught it at the last moment and hugged it to his face.
"Now, give me your hand. Hopefully, that plushie isn't too big to handle." George held out his hand. "Like me." He added, winking, and Dream groaned, burying his flaming face in the soft fabric and squishy material.
"Come on, now." George grabbed Dream's hand nonetheless, and Dream hoisted the plushie up with his other hand, following George as they milled about the amusement park grounds.
"Do you want to go on one of those rides?" George asked, gesturing to the assortment of rides laid out in front of them. "I know you probably want to ride me, but we can do that later."
"George!" Dream exclaimed, trying to ignore the shade of red his face turned. "There are children here!"
George merely smirked. "Which one, birthday boy?"
Dream huffed and scanned the assortment. "How about the rollercoaster?"
"You like it intense, I see. I'll keep that in mind for later." George commented.
"George!"
George didn't reply, merely tugging Dream over to the ride. They both boarded, one in front of the other. They both waited patiently for the seats to fill, George chattering aimlessly, before it was time to go. They both strapped in securely and gripped the bar in front of them tightly, George looking a little nervous. Dream was too nervous himself to comment on George's appearance, and then the ride suddenly took off.
The rollercoaster was exhilarating, and Dream laughed in delight at the air whipping by, twisting and turning. Meanwhile, in the front, George looked like he was going to be sick. When the ride ended, Dream got out first, supporting a very green George to a nearby bench.
"At least you're not singing karaoke anymore." Dream commented. George looked up from the ground he had been staring at intensely for the past few minutes in order to calm his churning stomach.
"Don't get your hopes up, birthday boy."
