As soon as the lady was done i wanted her to come back. Internally i groaned not wanting to get dressed and go back into the world and face the stresses and fears.

It being 3 pm, i decided i should head to the stadium and meet up with Cody. Though i despised the idea of being there, i wanted to support him in what he does, in something he enjoyed.

When i got there i went to walk into the backstage entrance and i was stopped by a security guard. "Sorry miss, only invited guests are allowed back here." His deep voice ran through my body down to the bone, he had one of those movie security guard voices that always strikes fear in people.

"Oh i am his friend, he told me to meet him here. Cody did I mean, I'm early, but he said to be here. I am okay to go in." I stumbled over my words realizing how unrealistic i said was i figured he wouldn't let me in.

"Miss i am going to have to ask you to leave one more time before i have you removed from the premises." The serious tone growing stronger in his voice.

As the guard went to grab my arm and remove me, and as if he timed the collision, Cody walked out and placed a hand on the guards shoulder. "She isn't lying Henry, she really is with me." The guard, who i now knew was named Henry, relaxed his shoulder and a gentle smile was now in place in which was a stone face moments before.

"That was my misunderstanding, i apologize." He said and without another word moved on to the next bystander asking for his attention.

"Is he always like that? All... all scary and big?" Cody nodded, "Once you get to know him he is really just a big teddy bear of a guy. He's pretty chill." He laughed at his comment, continuing to lead me to where i would be for the night, while he was preforming.

.........

"This room is massive!" My eyes grew wide when we walked into what he called the "calm before the storm" room. A snack table was off to the left of me, while a door which said "Stage" was to the right. In the middle was a couch and a coffee table, a TV and a game set Cody must have brought to pass the time. "Yeah, its more subtle compared to others. I like it though, its a humble room, and i think its fitting." Cody walked off to grab the water on the table and gulped it down.

As i looked at him, i realized how truly fit he was, his arm muscles strong and developed. His lashes long and his face structure defined. Everything about him was... well... in a none creepy way handsome.

NO snap out of  it Ella!! This is wrong!

Shaking my head as if to get the thoughts out i sat on the couch. Picking up the Xbox controller i extended the other out to Cody. "Mario Kart challenge?" He smiled, "You're on Ella."

..........

We completed our challenge just in time for his concert, in what felt like seconds he was up on stage singing to what felt like all of Phoenix.

He swayed and jumped and sang his heart out. He was having his own little party up there, and i admired his ability to just be himself in front of hundreds, if not thousands.

When we got back to the bus, we were bombarded with thousands of screaming girls and guys alike. "Cody! Why are you with her?" "Cody!!!" "CODY SIGN MY PHONE!!!" "Cody come on a trip with me!!"

This was crazy. How does he deal with this 24/7?

"Get into the bus." I heard Cody say kindly, "Gladly." I said, hurrying towards the bus. "Be there in a second, let me just take care of my fans, OK?" I nodded and headed to the bus. As soon as i got inside, i plopped myself on top of the couch. Deciding on a Disney movie to watch to put off the time of Cody and his fans. Knowing him, he has a big heart and will make sure everyone is happy.

That's just who he was, the one to give you the band aid, and make sure you're comfortable at all times and satisfied with his own work.

Eventually after a movie and a half of another, Cody finally came back from outside. "How many were there? You took like 3 hours." I joked. "About......117, but its better then none, the more people the more money i can make."

He said sarcastically, though for some reason that comment struck deeper than he intended.

"Wait.. Cody am i a publicity stunt?" The question came out harsher then i wanted. My mind flashed to the cameras at every location i have gone to, though the numbers where few. I pictured the magazine articles that would be written, "Has Cody found a new lover?" "Mystery girl spending too much time with Cody?"

"No! Your anything but used for publicity." He said back, rushing to make what he said reversed. "Then are they used for, Money?" I said, why was i taking there side? He had a big heart, he would never use then for money, hell he just spent 3 hours for them just now.

I know! Because I was, well used to be one of them. "No, there not used for money, I was being sarcastic when i said that. don't be so defensive." He snapped back, i knew i had crossed some line that was invisibly drawn between us. But something about that statement he made, sarcastic or not, rubbed me in the wrong way and made me furious!

I stood up and stared at him, upset at him and frustrated i felt the need to defend the fans, but also myself, I felt almost... betrayed by him.

When I thought maybe he and I could be friends again, true and honest friends- it all came crushing down once again.

"I can't do this- let me off the bus!" I demanded glaring over at Cody. Though we had just left the arena and it was late at night I wanted somewhere to go that wasn't dealing with him. The bus came to a slow stop and I grabbed my jacket and I gave one last glance at him before stomping off in an unknown direction.
