"Daniel we don't have any meetings today," Zach informed Daniel as the group waited for the elevator.

"Yes Zach, I know," Daniel admitted,

"So then why'd we leave?" Corbyn asked,

"Because," Daniel started, "Jack's flight lands in fifteen minutes and he said he had a good idea and we need to get to the studio immediately." The boys looked at each other, confused. "I don't know what it is, he was just really excited about it and asked us to pick him up."

"I wonder what the idea is," Jonah said to no one in particular.

The drive to the airport was spent humming Evelyn's new song, thinking of lyrics, texting her the lyrics and her shooting them down. Corbyn parked his car and sent Jack the "I'm outside" text. They waiting fifteen minutes before Jack came walking out of the busy building.

"Hi, Jack!" Corbyn said to the boy, as he squished between Zach and Daniel in the backseat, "I hear you have an idea."

"Hi, Corboner." Jack replied, a smile growing on his face, "I wrote a song the boys looked at Jack,

"What do you mean you wrote a song?" Jonah asked, turning to face him.

"I mean, I had this epiphany and I wrote it all down. It's kinda fire."

"What's it about?" Daniel asked,

"It's about realizing how much you miss someone when you can't have them anymore," Jack explained. Corbyn, Jonah, Zach, and Daniel looked at each other, avoiding eye contact with Jack. "What?" the boy asked, "Am I missing something."

"When you were away we-" Zach started,

"Shut up Zach." Daniel cut him off.

"What did you guys do while I was gone?" Jack asked the boys,

"Nothing!" Zach tried to cover up, "We were just tinkering with some chords and melodies. Nothing really stood out to us." The youngest member explained, technically telling the truth. Jack nodded his head, accepting the answer.

"Shall we go hit the studio then?" Corbyn asked, pulling his car into gear. The four other boys in the car shouted a collective "yeah!" before Corbyn reversed the vehicle and drove to the studio.

"Damn Jack, who hurt you?" Corbyn joked after Jack played the song.

"Who's it about?" Zach asked, "Gabbie?"

"No, um, it's not about Gabbie." Jack looked down at his hands,

"It's about Ev isn't it?" Daniel asked, breaking the silence.

"Yeah," Jack started, "It's about Evelyn." Zach was physically biting his lip. He wanted to tell Jack about Evelyn and what they had been doing for the past few days. Jonah picked up on this and pulled Zach aside,

"What are you doing?" Jonah asked Zach, "Do you have to go to the bathroom or something?" Zach glared at Jonah,

"No, you idiot. They still love each other! We should just tell Jack about what we were doing and about Evelyn's song. We could reunite them!" Zach was starting to get excited.

"No, that's not our place." Jonah responded sensibly, "They need to say it to each other. But," He paused, "we could bring Jack to the concert! Then he could see Evelyn and he can talk to her!" The boy's eyes went wide,

"That is a genius plan," Zach stated confidently. Jonah bumped Zach's fist and they returned to the group. For hours they made guitar parts, string arrangments and alterations to Jack's original piano accompaniment. The piece was some of their best work.

"Hey Jack," Jonah started to say as they were leaving the studio, "There's a benefit concert tomorrow night, we were gonna go check it out, do you want to come?" Daniel's eyes went wide,

"What is he doing?" Daniel whispered to Zach and Corbyn. Zach smiled,

"This is phase one of operation Jacklyn." the boy whispered back,

"That is the dumbest idea you have had." Corbyn stated, "They aren't going to get back together."

"That's what you think." Zach let out a small laugh.

"Who's going to be performing?" Jack asked Jonah, finally replying to his question.

"Oh," Jonah stated, "I think there are a few people playing." he finished. Jack nodded his head,

"Yeah, I'm down." The boy finally responded.

They drove home listening to the radio, all of them on their phone's doing their own thing.

"Have you guys talked to Ev lately?" Jack asked turning off his phone.  Corbyn made eye contact with Daniel in the rearview mirror,

"Why?" Zach asked, nervously.

"I just want her to be okay, you know?" Jack responded.

"I think she's doing okay," Corbyn replied honestly, "I just talked to her the other day."

"Good." Jack smiled, "She deserves it."

"If you love her so much, why did you two break up?" Jonah asked Jack,

"Honestly Jo? I don't know." Jack paused. "I made a mistake though, I shouldn't have distanced myself from her. She was there to stay, but I walked away." The boy looked at his hands,

"Now everything's grey." Zach finished, letting out a sigh
