Luke sat down on the beach, soft sand beneath his feet. He couldn't sleep and he needed to clear his head. The next day, the hunters were coming and he was nervous. He hadn't seen his best friend Thalia since he'd betrayed her. He felt guilty, but also angry. He wanted his revenge on the gods. They had hurt so many, including him.

Calypso had heard about Luke, but she'd never talked to him before. She hadn't even seen him in person. From the description Annabeth had given her, she had a vivid thought about his appearance, but it wasn't enough. As she was walking along the beach, she saw him. She walked up to him and slowly sat down. "Hi," she smiled.

"Hi" He said, looking up. He saw a girl standing above him. He recognized her from somewhere but couldn't quite place her.

"You're Luke?" she asked. Better to ask than to get embarrassed if he wasn't who she thought.

"The one and only." Luke smiled. "And you are?"

"I'm Calypso. I've heard lots about you," she made herself comfortable on the slightly wet sand.

"Nice to meet you, Calypso."

"So... How are you? It's usually Percy who I find roaming along this beach..." As the sun started setting and the Long Island breeze cooled down, Calypso summoned her powers and created a little fire in front of them.

"Woah, cool." Luke said. "I'm ok I guess. My friend is coming tomorrow, so that's nice I guess. How are you?"

"I'm doing pretty good considering that I just split up with my boyfriend, Leo..." The memories of her ex came flooding to her, her eyes brimming with tears.

"Hey, are you okay?" Luke asked, concerned.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine... I just... really loved him... you know?"

"Yeah, I get it." Luke said, handing her a tissue. (how'd he get the tissue oOp)

"R-Really?" she looked up at him.

"Yeah." Luke said. "I used to date this girl in Iris's cabin but we broke up a while ago."

"I'm sorry..." she looked down and twiddled with her fingers in her lap.

"Its ok.." he said, looking away awkwardly. "So are you a demigod or-?"

"No, I'm, uh... I'm actually a... Titan. The gods imprisoned me on an island because they thought I was a jackass just like my father," she chuckled a bit.

"Oh..." Luke replied. "I'm sorry. Yeah, they tend to do messed up things like that."

"Yeah... It was horrible, being on that island for so many years all alone."

Luke frowned. "I can't even imagine how difficult that must have been for you." He told her, silently cursing the gods.

"It was... Did they do anything to you? Before?"

"More like the opposite. They just sort of ignored me-the rest of their kids, too. And then the second I called them out on it, all of a sudden I was the enemy.

"They wanted an enemy, I gave them an enemy. I tried to defeat them and take them down, but I failed. I barely survived for that matter."

"Wow..." she paused for a moment. "I wish I thought to fight back. I... probably would've won if I tried."
