Mr.Roger was pointing at the board explaining something to the class in a monotone voice. Half of the class was asleep, but I kept my eyes open with the wonderful and much needed help from my everday morning coffee. As I sip on my coffee quietly for more energy, Mr.Roger turns around from the board and calls my name.
"Blair, would you please answer this equation?" Mr.Roger asks with a pleading look in his eyes. I'm his favorite student and he told me once after class that he only calls on me to get the class to actually take the least bit interest in this stuff.
"Of course, Mr.Roger." I then continue explaining every thing he just said in a more interesting away and some of the class wakes up and takes notes on what I'm saying. I walk up to the board, asking permission before so of course, and continue explaining while drawing my explaination.
The bell soon rings and I walk back over to my seat as the class begins to leave. I grab my binder and put all my notes inside, closing it afterwards.
"Blair?" Mr.Roger asks from behind his desk lifting his head from the papers. I turn around and he proceeds to talk, "I'm very busy this week, and I was wondering if you could help me teach the class, give out reasonable assignments, and grade some papers. You know, play teacher? Well, I've asked permission from the office and they said if you do this, they will give you any missing credits you need to graduate." he explains.
"That would be great, Mr.Roger! This is a great oppurtunity!" I say smiling. He nods and gives me a stack of papers along with a few pens. He then explains how to grade all those papers and gives me a paper explaining all that incase I forgot. I then say goodbye and thank you again and walk out of the room to my locker. The locker opens easily after I put in my combination and I put the stack of papers in my backpack followed by the necessary textbooks needed. I close my locker and get my keys out of my purse, unlocking my car. After getting in my car, I slide my keys in the ignition and start it while moving the mirror into its right position. I then drive off to my house parking in the empty driveway.
I walk up to my door and go in my house and close the door behind me. I push my bag handle up on my shoulder better and run upstairs to my room. My room is organized and clean, like usual. I put my bag on my desk and pull out the stack of papers that await me.

After I finish grading all the papers, it's 7:27. I place the papers in different folders according to their class periods and I put a sticky note on each of the folders saying the class average. A loud buzzing from the other side of the room catches my attention and I walk over to see what it was. I pick up my phone to see a missed call from my friend Tess. Quickly, I call her and she picks up on the first ring.
"BLAIRRR! There's this party tonight and you HAVE to come!" Tess says as soon as the call has started. I laugh and answer her.
"Tess, you know parties aren't my thing. Remember the first party I went to?" I say.
"Yeah, you got your head stuck in the toilet because some random jock that thought shoving people in toilets gives you bonus points in popularity." she says with her mouth full of food.
"What are you eating?" I ask.
"Doesn't matter. But, are you going?" she asks in a whiny tone.
"Tess, why in the WORLD would I go to a party? You KNOW parties aren't my thing! I have said it before, should I say it again?" I ask.
"Blair. You need to live a little. It's almost senior year and you haven't been to any parties this year whatsoever. Come on, I'll be sure to keep you away from the toilets?" she says.
I pause. Would this be a good oppurtunity to actually be known?
Live a little.
Tessa's words kept taunting me until I had only one thing to say.
"Fine. But, you have to stay with me and make sure I don't get kidnapped or something. Oh, and I need a ride to and from." I say with a hand on my forehead.
"You got it! Come open your front door and we can decide what you're going to wear to the party." she says in a cheery voice.
