Kimberly was really having the time of her life, every minute since she got here was full of fun so far, although she was still angry with him and was still dreading what he had to say, she didn't want to hear it yet, she wanted to have enjoyed herself before hearing anything he had to say.

Miguel on the other hand didn't want to disturb her too much, he wanted her to be ready before bring up the discussion because he didn't know how she was going to take it .he spent most of the time in the room, except on occasions she came to drag him to, it was already Saturday evening and he still hadn't told her yet, he knew she was purposely avoiding him so that he wouldn't bring up the issue.

"so do you want to go swimming later this night?" Kimberly asked 

"No, I want to talk to you"

"fine, I cant dodge it any longer, so spill it"

"Marianna and I were engaged"

the revelation hit her like a strong wave, she knew Marianna was once engaged to someone but she didn't know whom

"She broke up with me after she aborted my second child, i lost my head then, Dylan was the one who stood by me, when I saw her wedding pictures and saw that it was your father she got married to, my plan was to take revenge and destroy them both"

"okay" was all she managed to say

"so I had you followed and monitored to know what my next move would be"

"so you mean the bar that day was all planned?" 

"yes, but in the process when i saw how true you were, i decided to leave you and your father out of it, that was why i decided to invite you to the ball, i wanted to forget about her and her manipulations"

"so i was a pawn in your game?"

"I'm sorry Kimberly"

"its okay, I've been hurt a lot of times, so i'll get over it, about the marriage, what was you're father talking about?"

"apparently your mom and my family were good friends, so they both agreed to get us married before your next birthday"

"my mom is not here so its not valid"

"it is, it was part of the partnership deal"

"you mean this current partnership?"

"yes, but it wasn't stated in the general copy, your father should have your copy"

"so what is their reason that the marriage should hold?"

"what mine says was that so that both parties can be serious with the project during the duration and there's a clause that says that after everything has been settled, both parties can decide on quitting the marriage or not"

"my mom was too educated , so how could she had signed this?"

"Its not a must you go through with it, I told my dad no already, but you know he's stubborn"

"you know all these still sound strange to me, I mean waking up to hear that my marriage has been arranged" 

"I know and you have all the time in the world to think about it" 

"so what do you think about everything"

"Kimberly, I don't want to pressure you"

"so obvious, but on a second thought, an arranged marriage is not that bad is it?" she asked smirking

"what are you up to?" Miguel asked because he knew she was definitely up to something

"let me be straight with you, do you love me?"

"I-uhm, well I.................... he stammered

"guy, you don't have to stammer, I'm not saying that you should love me, I'm only asking if you do"

"I really like you a lot but.................

"there's no need for the but, its Marianna you love right?"

"I don't love her, I just want to get back at her" Miguel corrected

"then we're on the same page, lets get married" Kimberly said smiling

"hope you're sure?"

"why not, don't worry, it will be a contract marriage and once we're both done and we've achieved our aim, we go our separate ways"

"sounds like a plan to me"

"My lawyer will draft out the contract to you, your lawyer can also draft out a contract and we go over the both of them"

"No problem,  I'll inform my lawyer"

"so is that all you want to tell me or there's more?"

"for now, there's nothing"

"then lets enjoy the rest of the day, by tomorrow we would be back in the office"

"okay, so what do you want to do today?"

"have fun"

she didn't know if she was making the right decision, the whole marriage was still kind of strange to her because her mother wasn't the kind of person that made those kinds of decision, but whatever the case maybe, she had already made up her mind and  there was no going back. this was the perfect time and opportunity to get back at Marianna and she was not going to waste it. But in the mean time, she came here to enjoy herself and that was what she was going to do.

"I heard you spoke with Miguel about the marriage" Ricardo asked his daughter, although she was starting to talk to him now unlike before when she didn't talk to him, but he couldn't help to think how things could have been if all these didn't happen.

"yes dad, your daughter right is is about to be married to Miguel"

"are you happy?" he asked out of the blues

"what makes you think I'm not?"

"I don't know, but everything feels forced, the timing and all"

"are you also happy dad?" she asked her father      "in your marriage I mean, I've learnt that at times you cant get all you want, don't worry about me, worry about yourself, I'll be okay"

"I really want to see you happy Kim"

"And I'm very happy dad, I promise you I am"

"so I got a gift for you"

"hmm, are you trying to bribe me dad?"

"lets just say I'm giving you an early birthday gift"

"so what is this gift if I may ask?"

"its outside" 

Kimberly quickly rushed outside to see what was waiting for her and lo and behold a Ferrari 2021 model was waiting for her

"Dad" she said running to go and meet her father     "I love you very very much"

"I love you too my angel"
