New begins and old monsters

Nick pov

Me and my team were sitting down for a meeting to discuss the Luna offer- or should I say 'my offer' about having her join the Red Wolves. Mac was sitting at the head of the table with Lilly and Austin on either side of him. I was sitting on Austin's left.

"All right we all know why we are here. Now we need to decide if we will ask her to be our ally or have her become our enemy. We will vote all in favor of her being our ally raise your hand?" Me, Lilly, and Austin raised our hands. Mac was the only who didn't, which means that our votes out favor his. 'Huh, so I guess we get a new teammate... sweet.' Mac growled and crossed his arms.

I couldn't help but smirk at finally having something go my way for once. Mac soon sighed and looked up at me before speaking.

"So what do we do to get in contact with her?"

"Not 'we', me. She will only trust me to contact her, but Mac there is something you need to do though. And that is to not to look through her eyes for a day." Mac's eyes grow wide at that, he then slammed his hand on the table and yelled.

"No! Absolutely not! No way am I letting you go out there alone with her."

"That's how it's going to be like it or not." He was boiling with rage as he stared me down, his shoulders were shaking as well. He then growled out.

"Fine, you get killed that's not on me." With that he stormed out of the room. I soon headed to my room and grabbed the letter before heading out of the base and into the forest.

I walked deeper till I found the spot she was talking about and then stuck the letter to a branch were she should find it hopefully. I nodded my head once in approval of my work before heading back to base. 'I just hope she'll find it.' And with that I entered base.

Luna pov

I woke up in cold sweat again. I was all so panting hard as well. I carefully got out of the hammock and walked to my desk and sat in the chair resting my elbows on the table with my head in my hands. The bandana still tied around my eyes.

'Why are these nightmares getting worse? Ok, I'm ok. Just... need to calm down, just breathe Luna, breathe.' It took me a minute to calm myself. I soon realized that the dizziness hadn't started up at all. 'Did they agree to my offer? Guess I'll have to sneak out and see.'

I got up and walked over to where my boots and jacket were. I put on my boots and jacket and left the bandana around my eyes and moved to the hammock. I turned to my right and walked straight ahead. I soon stuck out my arm and felt the wall, I ran my hand over the wall till I felt a notch in it. I grabbed hold of it and turned it. I hear a quiet click.

I smiled to myself as I ran my other hand over stopping just a few inches from the notch and pushed a hidden door open and I walked though closing it behind me. I walked forward and stopped before turning around and getting my hand as I lowered one foot into a hole wide enough for Guard to get in. I found the lader quickly and then started climbing down the ladder. After a good 30 minutes I touched the ground and let go of the ladder.

I started walking again. I repeated what I did in my room and felt for the wall. I ran my hand over the wall till I felt a notch with a small branch attached to it, I pulled the branch down and heard the clicking sound again. I used my free hand to push the wall in front of me and it opened.

I felt the cool air on my skin as I walked out the door shutting it as well. I walked off to the thicker brush to stay out of sight in case Guard or Star were on portal. I made my way to the spot were I had hit Nick in the head, stepping as softly as I could on the forest floor. As soon as I thought I was far enough from the base, I took off the bandana and tied it around my wrist.

I walked on in the direction of the spot, soon finding it. I looked around the area. I glanced up and then did a double take and found a letter in a tree branch. I quietly made my way to the tree, stopping at the base of the tree. I jumped, grabbing the letter and landing. I opened it and read.

Dear Luna

Don't worry about your secret I will keep it safe. I told Mac and the others the offer was my idea Lilly and Austin agreed to it, but...

Mac wasn't too happy about it... but any way let me be the first to say welcome to the Red Wolves. I hope to see you soon. And before I forget, when you do get to the base there will be somethings for you to know.

One, Lilly is a mother-hen so be prepared for her to be motherly and strict about something.

Two, Austin is like a cross between a annoying kid and overprotective brother. But all and all he is the best friend you can ever ask for.

Three, Mac is... well I'll be honest with you I'm not sure really, but I will say this. He may act like a jerk but in reality he is a big old teddy bear to those he trusts.

There will be some rules for you to know for when you get here. But I'll save that for then, but again.

'Huh, guess I'm apart of the Red Wolves. Well, I guess I should start packing. Wait, how am I going to tell Guard and Star? I need to think of something.' With that I started my way back to my base as well as thinking of ways to explain this to Guard and Star.

In a dark part of the forest where the sun was barely peaking though the leaves and animals wander the forest floor, a black portal with dark purple lightning opened, scaring off animals left and right.

A figure wearing black and dark purple clothes stepped though. They closed their eyes and breathed in and let out a sigh of relief before opening them to reveal an eerie purple glow from her eyes. The girl looked around and then chuckled before speaking.

"I'm back!" With that she laughs maniacally as she throws her head back. The whole forest shook from the force and the wind carried it to the sky and anyone who heard it knew...

This was just the calm before the storm...
