Ding dong!

James Potter opened the door. His face brightened as soon as he saw who was in the doorway. "Molly! What brings you here?"

Molly Weasley stepped inside, holding the hand of her youngest son, Ron. Ron and James's son, Harry, were best friends.

"I wanna see Hawwy!" said the little boy. "Sure, Ron," said James. "I'll bring him in a sec." With that, he disappeared up the stairs.

Mrs. Weasley and Ron went into the living room and sat on the couch. Lily came from the kitchen and smiled. "Hi Molly, Ron!"

"Ron wants to play with Harry today," said Molly, grinning down at Ron. He had started playing with the building blocks Harry had left lying around the room. "I believe James has gone up to get him."

"Ron!" yelled a little voice from up the stairs. Harry and James were coming down. "Hawwy!" yelled Ron, and they hugged tight.

"I got a new toy yesterday," said Harry. He showed his friend the stuffed teddy bear he was holding in his hand. He was a shade of light brown, and had a stuffed wand in his hand. "His name is Mr. Poofer, but I like Poof Poof!"

"Hi, Poof Poof!" said Ron, waving to him. Harry made Poof Poof's hand wave back to Ron, and they laughed together.

"Boys, is it okay if you two play with Poof Poof in your room?" asked James. "Us adults have something to discuss."

The little boys nodded and went up the stairs to Harry's room.

They sat down on the carpet, Poof Poof in Harry's lap. "Ron," said Harry. "I wanna show you something!"

Harry went over to his little closet and took out a Gryffindor scarf. He came back and wrapped it around Poof-Poof. "See?" he said. "Now Poof-Poof is a Gwyffindor!"

"Yay!" exclaimed Ron.

They played with Poof-Poof and Candy, another toy of Harry's, for a while until there was a knock on the door. Lily Potter came in. "Harry? Ron? Mind if you two come to the living room for a few minutes? We need to talk to you about something."

Harry and Ron looked at each other, worried that they might be in trouble, and nodded tentatively. They followed Harry's mother out of the bedroom, down the stairs, and into the living room, where James and Molly were sitting.

The first thing Harry noticed was that there was a head in the fireplace. "Who's that?" he asked without flinching at all. He was quite used to his parents' friends hanging out in the fireplace, talking for hours.

The woman in the fireplace was pale-faced, and had blonde hair. She had a grateful smile on her face. "Ron, Harry," said Molly, "first thing, you're not in trouble."

The boys relaxed.

"You know how we are very busy lately, with our Auror work and everything," said James.

"And you can't play with me all day anymore," said Harry sadly, a frown on his face.

"Yeah," said James. "You only have Ron."

"And I love Ron!" yelled Harry, giving his friend a hug again.

"Harry's mood swings..." Lily muttered.

"But why don't the two of you have many friends?" asked James. "Because..." Harry looked up, thinking. "I wanna have a LOT of friends!" Ron realised. "We have an idea for that," Molly told the boys. They leaned in, interested.

"Have you heard about playgroups before?"

They shook their heads.

"A playgroup is a group of kids who spend time together and play all day long. It's like a daycare, you can learn together, go places together, and become best friends!" said Lily, trying to convince them.
