A month later and nothing had changed, except maybe that it wasn’t so cold as before but it was only march, still a long wait till the summer. Me and L’dean was still living with Kerry, I was getting used to Kerry’s place, it had become my new home feeling more like it every day. I hated thinking about the day when mum would call me asking where I was when she got home but I also thought about it a lot, I had missed my mum but she had been gone for so long now it was almost too hard to think that the day would ever come. I thought about going back to the ends where I would hardly ever see Tyrell since me and him was now dealing, our second month but we hadn’t had sex yet due to the promise we made, I could tell sometimes it was driving him mad to control them but we still did our thing, I bashed him off and he would finger me so it weren’t that bad. There were only two weeks left of our patch and a good thing cah I was getting too horny to keep this up for any longer. Me and Tyrell had been going out quite a lot since I didn’t have school and he only had college a few days a week; he was in his second year of college but I didn’t really mind or care about the age gap. And me, since I had been taken out of school before I could finish my GCSE’s I had to do all work at home myself and then in June I could sit my exams in school but it was hard to teach myself everything I needed, I had practically missed the whole of year 11 because of my mum.

Today I planned to go into school to get some work and stuff for revision; I was looking forward to seeing the girls again but so nervous.  I got on the train there and then bus, it was a long but I was kl with my little iPod clipped to me.

I shook as I entered my school gates; so many memories coming back to me looking at my old classes and where we would jam in the playground, all the madness that goes on with us. It was break time, I could see the playground full of upper school through the glass double door in the reception.

‘Err; I need to pick up a few things from my head of year,’ I said to the lady at the reception

‘What’s your name?’ she said not taking her eyes off the paper she was reading and scribbling on

‘Laurelle …Brown’

She looked up at me through her glasses ‘What year?’

‘11’

The women picked up the telephone next to her and speed dialled a number…

‘Hello Mrs Denham; I have Laurelle Brown here at reception, she says she needs to see you’

‘Mmhm’

..

‘Yehh, okay’

She hung up and looked up at me again, ‘Yeah, Mrs Denham is waiting in her office’

‘Thanks’

I halted my handbag back on to my shoulder and walked off into the playground to go to my head off year. I was receiving a few stairs and waves from some people in the year below and some people in my year I didn’t really speak to but my friends was nowhere to be seen. I carried on walking through the playground and into the block where I would find my head of year.

‘Laurelle how nice to see you’ Mrs Denham said standing at the top of the stairs as I walked up to meet her

‘Hi Miss’

I joiner her as we walked to her office; Mrs Denham was an old woman who tried to look young by caking herself in makeup and  still dressing and acting like the younger teachers in the school but I liked her, she was nice and someone funny the class would have jokes with.

‘So what did you want to talk to me about’ she said as soon as we entered her office and we had sat down.

‘I was wondering if I could have some things to revise from, some work …Books’ I suggested
