Raven's POV
It's been six days since Jonathan's funeral and a lot has happened.
The detectives found out that the people in charge of bringing the casket to the burial weren't their usual people. It was two new guys that the company had never hired. The detectives are still trying to figure out who the men are, but so far they have no leads.
Thing with Harry have been a little different. He took my words to heart and is actually trying to earn my trust back. He broke things off with Samantha again and like last time she made a huge scene in front of the whole school. Now everyone is calling her a desperate whore. I can't necessarily disagree with them, so I've kept my mouth shut.
Every morning for the past six days Harry has left something new at my doorstep. It ranges from day to day. Sometimes it's flowers, a teddy bear, or chocolates. This morning he had Niall bring me a huge cup of hot chocolate with a cute note attached.
Harry tries to keep his distance at school. I don't know why, but I don't mind.
Tonight my dad has a huge family dinner planned. He claims to have some 'big news' that he wants to share with me and James.
I figured that this dinner will be the perfect time for Harry to be properly introduced to my mom and dad. Sure dad said it was suppose to be only family, but if Harry does good at this dinner then he will techinally be part of the family cause we will officially be dating.
James plans on bringing someone as well. I have no clue who it is, but he claims that I'm gonna love her.
As of now school has finally been let out for the day. I haven't actually asked Harry over for dinner tonight, so I assumed now would be a good time.
I patiently waited by Harry's car for him to show up. It took him ten minites to get to his school. I don't know what could have possibly made him this late, but I'm not gonna question it.
As Harry approaches his car he looks kind of surprised to see me standing there.
"Raven. What's going on?" He slowly asks me.
"Well I wanted to know if you wanted to come over to my house for dinner tonight?"
"I thought it was for family only?" I sigh.
"Don't worry about that. I figured that since you've tried exceptionally hard to win my trust back this week that you at least deserve one last challenge." Harry crosses his arms over his chest and leans against his car.
"What exactly is the challenge in me going to dinner with your family?"
"You know my father hates you and I know you hate him. So if you can be civilized then I will know that you truly do care about being with me." Harry purses his lips and looks at the ground.
"Okay, I'll do it. What time should I come over?" I smile and jump with happiness.
"Come over around 6:30-7:00. Oh and wear something nice yet comfortable." Harry nods his head and gives me a small smile.
"Well if you don't mind Ms. Hathaway I have a dinner to get ready for." I roll my eyes and walk a few cars down to my car.
3 HOURS LATER
It took me an hour and a half to get ready for dinner. I had already told my parents that I had someone coming over, but I didn't tell them who it was.
I had just finished getting dressed. It had taken about twenty minutes for me to figure out what I was gonna wear. I finally decided on wearing a beige colored long sleeve shirt, a burgundy skirt that stops right above the knee, with black pantyhose and a pair of black stilettos.
