Expect the unexpected

Chapter 5

"MUM I HAVE TO GO!!!!!! " I shout at my mum as I run around the house frantically trying to find my phone.

We had all managed convinced our parents that we are old enough to drive up to auckland and fly to london by ourselves. It took a while and a lot of proving that we are able to look after ourselves on the other side of the world but we did it. We are flying across the world without our parents bugging us the whole time. WHOOOO!!

"Please please please just help me find it! I can't leave with out my phone and Morgan and tess are waiting for me in the car!!!" I'm at the verge of crying right now. I NEED to leave because I'm already late and we have to drive 2 and a half hours to Auckland to get to the airport and I defiantly don't want to miss our flight.

"Here it is hunny, you need to look after you phone better. Your always loosing it"

"I know mum. Thanks for finding it though" I thank her, giving her one last hug and kiss on the check before sprinting out of the door

As I entered the car I am greeted by a whole lot of questions being thrown at me

"Took you long enough!"

"We don't have all day you know!"

"What were you doing in there?"

"How long Does it take to get a suitcase out of the door? Geese"

"Calm down guys! I'm here now so let's get going!!" As we pull out of the drive way I turn the music up a little louder and wind down my window.

Oh how I love these summer days, the window down, wind in my face, music blasting. My friends and I singing our heads off without a care in the world. Oh these are the moments I will remember for the rest of my life.

I'm completely lost in my own world until something hits me in my face...what the hell was that!? As I turn around I see a very amused Morgan laughing her head off at me

"What was that for?"

"You looked so concentrating so I decided it would be fun to throw a lollie at you" she replies cheekily

"Gee thanks....wait where did you get the lollies from?" I'm sure we didn't have lollies when we left my house? Strange

"I have my ways " she had a mischievous look on her face and it kinda scared me

"Oh god!"

Finally we made it! I swear I have never been so happy to stand on land before I my life! I literally fall out of the car and start hugging the ground. Stupid carsickness...

"Ah jess...can you erm stop hugging the ground....? People are staring!!" Tess informs me while Morgan as usual just laughs

"I DONT CARE! THEY CAN STARE IF THEY WANT!" I shout at her as I carry on hugging the ground

"I LOVE YOU GROUND!! NEVER LEAVE ME AGAIN"

As I look up I realise there are a lot of people staring and a few little kids pointing. One kid even asked her mother "mummy what's wrong with that girl? Why is she hugging the floor?"

Oh little one how oblivious you are to how close I was to throwing up my organs.

"TAKE A PICTURE IT LASTS LONGER" I shout at them sarcastically but one guy didn't quite pick up on the sarcasm as he actually takes a photo of me....creep

Picking myself off the ground like nothing even happened I casually walk away from the scene and into the nandos restaurant with Morgan and Tess hot on my heels.
