"...So then we.... held h-hands."
"I knew it. You should really just go for it, Georgie." Niki picked up her teacup with both of her hands.
"Knew what?" I ask.
She laughs. "He obviously likes you back."
"N-No he doesn't." I blush. "I don't even think men is in his orientation."
"Georgie, you're so oblivious sometimes. He literally likes you." Niki sips her tea.
I do the same. "Whatever. What did you guys do in here while we were out?"
"Honestly, not much. It was kind of boring." She replies. I could tell she was hiding something.
"Is there something you're not telling me?" I narrow my eyes.
She hums. "No, I don't think so."
"Whatever you say." She's definitely hiding something. "Anyways, when do you think we'll be going back?"
"I don't know. Phil sent our king a letter asking how things were." She sips her tea again.
I sigh. "I just hope our businesses are gonna be alright. Clay said he—" I notice her smiling when I say his name, "what??"
"Nothing, Georgie." She giggles.
"Well, it just be something." I pry.
"Honestly," she sets her teacup down, "if you can bring him up in conversation like that, then you should just go for it. Based on what I've seen, he totally likes you."
"But he's a—"
"Georgie, don't pull a, 'but he's a prince'." She interrupts. "We've known each other since grade school. I know you. Oliver may have not liked you back, but Clay sure does, whether he's a prince or not."
I sigh. "I know, but—"
"I don't want to hear it. He likes you, you like him, end of story." She says firmly.
"Fine. You win." I huff.
She rolls her eyes. "Whatever. What else happened?"
"I mean, not much." I look down at my reflection in my teacup, "Well, I did end up coming out to him."
"Oh?" She raises her eyebrows. "How did that go?"
"I think it went okay, I guess. He didn't seem to bat an eye to it. He was more worried about my parents' parenting."
"That's good." She hums, picking up her teacup again. "I think you should just go for it."
I cross my arms. "Would you stop that?!"
She looks at me mischievously and giggles. "Not until you at least ask him out, or something. That reminds me. We're gonna have a picnic later tonight while the sun sets. Are you gonna go?"
"Maybe. Will he be there? You shut up right now or I'll—"
"You'll what, Georgie?" She sips from her teacup.
"I'll do something." I mutter.
"Oh, speak up please?" She leans closer and cups her ear. "I couldn't quite hear you."
"You're annoying." I huff.

"How do you suppose we leave without them noticing?" Drista asks.
"I thought we were gonna just deliberately exit? Like, I say I want more water, and then you say that you're gonna go pee." Nick says. "Or did you have a better plan?"
