I hadn't realized how long I had been staring into Fred's eyes until he shook me. "Why, Adelaide?"

"What?" I asked confusedly.

"Why do you want to know if I took anything?"

"Oh- Uh- I just was curious," I said while getting off of his lap quickly. "I gotta go."

"Adelaide, wait!" He grabbed my arm. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing. I just- I can't be here right now," I mumbled. I ran out of the bathroom with tears falling down my face.

I ran through the Gryffindor common room and headed straight for my room. The more I ran, the more watery my eyes got.

As I got to my common room, I mumbled the password and ran inside. I ran to my room, and once I got in, I slammed the door shut.

I quietly sobbed. I didn't know why, but I did. I was quickly startled when I heard knocking on the door. "Addy, are you alright?" Adrian asked from outside the door.

I wiped away my many tears and opened the door. "I'm fine," I lied.

"Are you crying?" George asked. I looked up and saw Adrian wasn't the only one who ran after me, but George and Lee had too.

"No," I lied while harshly rubbing away the leftover tears.

"You can talk to us," Lee said.

"Shouldn't you guys be with Fred. I'm sure he tried to go beat up McLaggen again or something," I said trying to change the subject.

"I locked him in our room and took his wand. He wanted to come after you, but we stopped him so we could see what happened," George said. I laughed at the thought of Fred being locked in his room. "So, did something happen with you two?"

"No! Not exactly," I mumbled. I looked at all of them before continuing again, "Do you guys remember why Cedric cheated on me?"

"That veela bitch," George spat.

"Right, but before we figured that out I noticed something. His eyes were dark. Way darker than normal. I didn't think it had anything to do with him cheating, but Fred's eyes looked the exact same," I rambled.

"Maybe it's because they're both guilty," Adrian spat.

"Adrian, stop! I need your support on this. I need to know you guys can help me figure this out. I need to know I'm not going mad. I need to know there is still a chance for Fred and I," I cried. The tears were falling now.

"Tell us more about your eye theory," Lee said.

"Well it was after I had caught Cedric, and the days that followed. I mean, you guys know he had bright blue eyes, but those times I noticed the change, they were like green," I took a second to breath. "-And when I looked in Fred's eyes they were dark, almost as dark as mine. I know his eyes are brown, but they are golden brown. When I looked at them, they were a black-brown." I caught my breath and wiped away the falling tears.

The guys just stood there looking at me. "Tell me this makes sense. Tell me I'm not going mad. Tell me something, and don't just stand there," I yelled.

"It's possible," George said. I gave him a faint smile.

I looked to Adrian because he was someone who never failed to be honest with me. "We can check out your theory."

"We have to get Fred then. I can talk to him and see if there are the same kinds of plot holes like there were with Cedric," I simply said.

"Let's go get him then," Lee said.
