It's been an hour shehnaz and Arjun are spending time at one of the local clubs near them. "Okay toh let me get this straight? your father died, you went back to punjab brought your sister back from there not to forget after selling all your properties, your scholarship got taken away so you attended college and still got your degree, what else happened in these 10 years?" ARjun asked in almost one breath. They were on their 3rd drink and she was really enjoying this relaxing time with him. "That's about it really." she answered. "Tell me more about you and your company?"
Arju-There's nothing much really, we wanted to start our own company apart from our fathers and we did, And the best name we could come up with was "Reach Inc." I handle Cananda, and then one partner handles USA. So we have gone pretty wide. Let's forget me, Mine is pretty boring, You dumped me, you know how hurt I was?
Sheh-*laughed* you were? I am sorry but now you know the reason, I always keep asking myself what if I had stayed and nothing would have happened with my father.
ARju-I guess, then we would be dating you know. I was really into you, you know.
Sheh-You were? Was that the reason you didn't remember me the first time you saw me today?
Arju-Well, woh because its been so many years aur we were so so used to seeing you in that sidha sadha look you have transformed, lipstick lagani shuru ki he just look at you. Well we could still date you know. *his face moved further ahead from the other side of the table*
Sheh-Well, we could but I live here and you live in toronto. And I dont do long distance. *she winked*  (Her heart kept budging in between her thoughts,she has had a crush on Arjun for she doesn't know how long. But right now this just doesn't feel right.)
Arju-That's not that far, I could fly back always.
Sheh-Apna busy schedule chorh ke? I am sure your boss would mind.
Arju-I am my own boss, except for Sidharth he's always on my case for some reason. Khadus tattad is thr right word i guess? * he laughed and a bile rised in her throat at his mention, she was expecting his name to come up but just wasn't prepared, she wanted to know all about him, what was he upto? Is he married? her mind immidiately rubs her thoughts away because of the uneasiness she feels with it*
Sheh-I am sure, he must have changed. It's been 10 years, he must have kids or something?
Arju-Kids? No way, sidharth is very much single except for chilling with girls now and then, and no he hasn't changed a bit. Mujhe nahi lagta after sofia he is even going to consider someone, woh bahot serious tha about her, you know he wanted kids with her, a house with her. *her face changed completely not because his ex-fiance was mentioned because the little 0.5% hope she had died with ARjun's word. catching the hint a little Arjun changed the topic immediately* So about the distance, I was thinking come work for me?
Sheh-Wait, what? You don't even know much about my qualifications, or the new me. (one of another major reason she attended this session was because she had some hope of finding a good job which might pay her more, but This was never striked her mind since its too much for her*
Arju-Yeah, I do. You are talented, smart, witty, have a great sense for designs, hot, beautiful, Sidharth even told me once you were the most potential student in our class.
Sheh-Wait, what? *she yelled again, moving her focus from her drink to him.* He spoke about me?
ARju-Ha sirf ek baar, Jis din you and me had lunch together, he argued with me for almost half and hour, kyuki he thought you were the brightest student and I was distracting you by taking you out on a date.
(The only thought her mind had was why would he say that? After he pushed her away from him saying ARjun is the right guy, what did he want? )
Sheh-Ohh aur tumne kya jawab diya tha?
ARju-That it was none of his concern, we could see each other if we wanted to. But usne bola since he was your teacher, it was his concern that pushed me more to meet you but then you didn't show up. *he gave her a sad smile*
Sheh-Yes, that's weird. *she pursed her lips together, he was more then a teacher way more*
Arju-Anyways will you atleast think about my offer?
Sheh-*laughed out loud* Yes, I will. Give me some time? *she asked with one eye closed, hoping he wouldn't mind.*
Arju-Offcourse you can, think about it. And since there wont be any distance anymore you can think about the dating part too. As far as it's a yes we have all the time in the world.
Sheh-Sure. *did he just say "WE" this is not at all how she wanted things to go, it feels as if her dream is coming true but she doesn't want the dream anymore, she pushes the thought out of her mind and moves her focus to the hot, young, maybe talented man in front of her* And on that note, lets end todays date. Thank you I really had a good time.
ARju-Me too, Think about it please! Will you? (This feels so weird to her, its too soon, its not like she hasn't been with guys in the past 10 years offcourse she has but none could make her feel like Sidharth did that day, but ARjun is more softer towards her, and now he wants to have a relationship with her? and to top it all he is willing to be her boss? She knows she doesn't have to worry about sidharth because he is in the U.S.A but what if Arjun ever mentions he met her, is she ready to step in that world again? most importantly face him?)
Sheh-Yes i will. *she smiles, she shakes her hand to take a leave but he stops her in her tracks*
Arjun-Come on, hum itne ache friends toh hai hi ke we can bid each other a goodbye with a hug, and that way I get to flirt with you a little.
Sheh-*laughed* Aren't you done with the flirting already? *she pulls him in a swift hug, something in her sparks, the part about Sidharth stopping ARjun from meeting her makes her angry really angry. So she changes her mind.* You know what on second thoughts. I am ready to work for you. *she mentions as soon as they break their hug*
Arju-You would? *he asks in astonishment*
Sheh-Yes, I don't see a reason why not to. But i need some time for moving, finding a new apartment, booking tickets.
ARju-I will take care of the arrangement of the apartment and the tickets, you just get ready for the move, we will see you back at the office in a week, I will email the required documents and your offer letter. (A week later, finally she is in the city of her dreams, toronto. Arjun has arranged for a two bedroom apartment for her, and right now she has just arrived To her new office, its too tall and her heart is jumping with the excitement, this is going to be a great start for her career)
Sheh-Hi, I am here to see Arjun Shikhawat. *she uttered to the front desk*
Secre-Ohh yes, shehnaz gill right? *she nods in a yes* He is running a little late but he will see you in the conference room, soon. I will take you there. *she walked her way through the office and they stopped at a huge room but the view from the room was just breath-taking, it had a view of CN tower, the whole city was kind of visible. Her grin grew wider and wider with each step she took* "It's beautiful isn't it?" a male voice came from behind her, she galnced up and found a reflection in the mirror in front of her, and her WORLD STOPPED.
