Nostalgic Nightmares

<Deku's POV>

Me and Kachaan have known each other for the longest time and we still haven't became friends. It was unbelievable and unfair to me back then, since I admired him so much but in return was treated like I was worthless, but now I know that it was all my fault and only Kachaan was the one to decide whether he wanted to become my friend. Maybe he didn't want me to look up to him and admire him? Maybe I was getting in his way from being a pro hero? Whatever the matter was, I knew it was my fault and I should never have admired the selfish boy.

Looking back through my crumbling childhood, I could see no way of escape or accomplishment. I was a weak little boy and was, just like Kachaan had told me, worthless, useless and frail. There was nothing in me that would've even led me a step closer to becoming a hero or showed myself as someone worthy to look up to. If it wasn't for All Might, I would be nothing, I would never have even gotten into U.A. Such Nostalgic nightmares..they haunt me to this very day.

"Hey Deku?! Earth to Deku?!"

<No-one's POV>

"A-ah! Sorry, got lost in my thoughts for a second", Deku nervously replied, laughing nervously to himself.

"Did you listen to a thing I sai-"

"Is something wrong Midoriya?", Todoroki asked, interrupting Ochako.

"No, not at all! Just a little thought", Deku responded sounding less suspicious than earlier. Todoroki raised an eyebrow, unsure if what Deku said was truthful or not.

"Alright"

"Deku-Kun! Are you invited to Momo's party?", Ochako questioned with a rather excited expression.

"N-no? I haven't even seen Momo today", Deku replied, confused as ever. Even so, no one had told him about a party.

"That's weird, I'll try and ask Momo later today", Ochako shrugged.

"Ah! Thank you! We should probably get to our dorms before bed, it's pretty late", Deku said, yawning halfway through.

"Of course! I'll be right back, I'll meet you at your dorm Deku", Ochako replied before strolling off, leaving Deku and Todoroki alone.

As soon as Ochako disappeared into the dark hall, an awkward silence enters the cold room. The pair stood completely still and just stared into space, attempting to avoid eye contact.

<Todoroki's POV>

Me and Midoriya know each other pretty well and are comfortable around each other but we never really talked as much or ever had a topic to talk about. Ochako normally did all the talking and we just asked the questions and answered her.

Though, why was Deku so lost in space when Uraraka was talking about why she wanted to become a hero and come to a U.A.? It's pretty unusual for him to do that and even if he was thinking to himself, he always did it out loud. Though, I might just be over thinking.

Hope you enjoyed the first chapter! I know it was short and didn't have much to it but it is my first time and I want to take things slow. I also deeply apologise if there are any spelling mistakes through out this chapter, please point them out so I can fix them ^^
