Niall's P.O.V.

Moving from a big city to a small town is a big change. The first one being that I now have to set an alarm. In the city, it was always so loud that there was no need to set an alarm. Taxi's honking their horns. People yelling for their cab and their morning phone calls. It easily wakes you up.

Waking up in the morning to silence is something that I'm not used to. I've found myself more in my thoughts. It's not a bad thing, well it wasn't until I met her. Nikki Shay. She has been on my mind more than I planned.

Who would've thought that literally bumping into someone would make such an impact? In this day and age, most people would've thrown a fit if someone accidentally bumped into them and made them drop something. I obviously would've made sure I bought whoever it was a new one. There was something different about her.

Her smile could light up the darkest of rooms. Talking to her felt very easy. It felt like I was talking to someone I've known for a while. Not going to lie, I was nervous to get coffee with her yesterday. I know crazy. You would think someone who is a businessman constantly talking to bigger corporations, wouldn't be nervous. Where that's where you're wrong. I don't get nervous about work very often, but something about Nikki made me nervous.

Finally making my way out of bed I get ready for the day ahead. It's always a mystery of what will happen in the office. Most of the time I don't even know when I have meetings for the day. That sounds worse than it actually is. I'm aware of meetings that I need to present at, have investors at, or are important to the company. The problem with running this company is that I have meetings that I need to attend just to be there. There are times I never need to speak. It can get annoying.

Arriving at my new building that I still have to get used to, I walk in and give a warm smile to Jane at the reception desk. She is a very sweet woman.

The new building is much smaller and that's something that I really need to get used to. Our building in New York is a 15 story building. This one is only a three-story. There was no need for a massive building especially with us moving to a small town. We did not need to stand out that much.

Walking into my office I place my jacket on the hook next to my door and make my way to my desk to check my emails and see what I have going on today. The light gray walls are decorated with paintings and the left side of the office having a bookcase that's behind a clear glass wall. Every single copy of a book Tide has published is on that bookshelf. Talk about the best way to show your accomplishments. It doesn't always have to be a trophy or a plaque. Before I can even log into my computer there's a knock at my door. I let out a sigh.

"Come in!" I yell with a hint of annoyance in my tone of voice. I'm hoping it is just my assistant Andrew letting me know about a meeting. He does that sometimes and it's his job but it's nice to come in at times and have a minute to collect my thoughts.

"Well someone doesn't sound very cheerful to see me again." A male voice fills my office.

Looking up to my surprise I was not expecting to see him. No way. There Harry stood in black slacks and a blue sweater with a collared white shirt underneath. His style has always been different from others, but he manages to pull literally anything off.

"Harry! Mate, what are you doing here?" I stand up out of my chair to greet Harry.

"If you don't want me here Niall just say so!" The sarcasm practically drips through his voice.

"Oh shut it Harry." I pull him into a hug. Since moving here I have not seen Harry once. He's my best mate and partner. He's been keeping the NYC office in shape and acting as the lead there. Going into business with Harry was probably the best decision I have made.
