Hello? I finally got to update hihi.

Scarlett asked her if she could talk to her, and who was she to decline? There was no other way to escape this conversation. It had to happen!

Scarlett told her to sit on the couch, and Callie followed. They sat across from each other, and Callie tried her best not to look Scarlett in the eyes.

"How are you?"

"I'm good," Callie nonchalantly replied, her eyes not meeting Scarlett's. But what her mother said next had her listening intently.

Scarlett smiled forcefully and took a deep breath before saying anything. "I met Chris on the set of *The Perfect Score*. It was our first movie together. We had a very good friendship back then. Then, we sort of had a relationship, nothing romantic, maybe that's what we thought about it before. It was all fun and games, just having the time of our life." She smiled, remembering the moments they shared before everything went downhill.

"We were young, just literally starting our careers. I can say that it was on and off, nothing serious, but I loved your father. I loved his company and the way he made me feel. One day, we just discovered that we were gonna have you." Scarlett continued, staring right into Callie's eyes, who seemed to look uncomfortable.

Scarlett tried to hold back her tears as she watched the two red lines unfold in her eyes. She took three tests to make sure, but all of them said the word positive.

Positive.

Positive.

Positive.

She was pregnant. There was a life living in her stomach, and she was gonna be a mother at a young age.

She choked on her tears, and it became hard for her to breathe. "Scarlett, what does it say?" Chris, who was sitting at the edge of the bed and was nervous as hell, asked.

Scarlett sniffled and handed the pregnancy test to Chris. His eyes widened, and his heart pounded even more. He was in a state of shock and was clearly taken by surprise.

Positive.

"Chris, please say something." She begged, her eyes pleading and waiting.

He didn't say anything. Instead, he walked towards Scarlett and wrapped her in a tight hug, and the both of them cried in each other's presence.

"What are we gonna do?" she asked weakly.

"I, uh, I don't know. I'll go with whatever decision you'll come up with."

Scarlett then wiped her tears and faced Chris. She looked into those blue orbs for an answer, but nothing was there except for nervousness.

"What do you want for the baby?" she asked, and he was stopped in his tracks yet again.

"Me, I wanna keep it, Scarlett. I can't... I can't kill a child with such innocence." It was his honest answer, and that made Scarlett smile a little.
