"Ready?" Jin asked me with a small smile as everyone exited the cars, approaching the government building.
I swallowed harshly, before giving Jin a confident nod. "It's time."
Jungkook grabbed my hand as we entered the building, which was easy since all the guards lied injured and unconscious on the grounds.
"Fuck, they've already entered!" Namjoon shouted, increasing his pace as he sped through the hall, impatiently pressing the elevator buttons.
"Try to calm down, Namjoon." Jin rested his hand on his shoulder. We can't be quicker than this, hopefully they haven't reached your father's secret office yet." Namjoon nodded, though gaze absent. "They must've brought him to the emergency room, right? Surely they had time to go there."
Jin hummed in agreement. "Let's check his official office first, though. Our focus is defeating the Libertas, and there is a bigger chance they'll be there."
We panted heavily as the elevator doors finally opened, allowing us to squash in, just meeting the maximum capacity of 11 people.
"I'll lead." Yoongi spoke eventually. "Jimin and Hoseok, take my sides. The rest will follow."
"No." I butted in. "You are still recovering from having your bending skills taken away. I'm the only one who hasn't been affected or beaten up severely." I inhaled sharply. "I'll lead, Krystal and Yuta will be on my sides."
"But-" Jungkook protested. "No But." I cut him off. "Yuta is highly skilled and rational. He won't handle out of emotion, which is exactly what I need. Krystal is still fit as well, and she'll be able to give me that more emotional comfort at the same time." She shot you a small smile, while Yuta gave you a curt nod.
"It's better if Jimin, Hoseok and I lead, though." Yoongi spoke again. "You, Krystal and Yuta will be in the centre, to perform the attack. Baekhyun can be right behind you, followed by Namjoon, Jin, Taehyung and Jungkook. The sole purpose of our formation is to pave the way and get rid of the first hurdle of defence."
Everyone agreed with a low hum, getting in formation immediately upon leaving the elevator.
"Door straight ahead." Namjoon indicated as you marched onwards.
Everything then went so quickly.
I couldn't really see what was happening in the room as Yoongi, Hoseok and Jimin blocked my vision, but I caught a glimpse of president Kim - Namjoon's father - staring in terror at a looming figure, who was balancing a fire bolt in his raised palm, as if to strike at any moment.
"Dad!" Namjoon shouted emotionally, before everything went berserk. All four elementals flew sporadically across the room, military benders dressed in kaki armour trying to dodge the matter, not being able to bend anymore. Namjoon flew on top of his dad's attacker, receiving support from Taehyung, who followed with a whirlwind around him. It didn't take long before the Libertas lay passed out on the floor.
"Son, what's going on?" President Kim was the first person to break the silence.
Namjoon sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "The Libertas, dad. You know how you said you were worried about non-bending people feeling oppressed." Namjoon's dad nodded, frowning thoughtfully.
"A coup?" He questioned.
Namjoon nodded.
"And they've developed a gas that gets rid of our bending skills?"
Namjoon sighed again. "Yes. But there's a way to revert it." President Kim's eyes lit up at this. "We don't have any more left, though." Namjoon spoke. "We need to make some more."
