"Gross", Plagg said, while his holder and Tikki's were kissing nearby, but not within earshot.

"Plagg! be nice", Tikki gently reprimanded him.

"Whatever, it's not like I'll love anything but cheese anyway", he grumbled, expecting a response, but not getting it.

he waited for half a minute. Then a minute. Finally, after five minutes he burst out, "Aren't you gonna scold me or something?".

Tikki chuckled. He never was a patient cat. "No, because I know that's not true",

"What does love feel like anyway?", he pretended to ask carelessly, but Tikki knew better.

"It's when you know a person inside and out, and enjoy every moment you spend with them. True love means you'll always love that person, forever, and they you", she answered meaningfully.

'Kinda like us', he thought. He didn't say it out loud though. He felt Tikki curl into him as he purred. He enjoyed it.

"Tikki?", he asked while purring.

"Yes, Plagg?

"Is... Is this what love feels like", he gulped.

"Of course you stinky sock", Tikki smiled.

He would never criticize love ever again.
