I just got off the train station, it was packed! I had to move to Japan due to my father, he was in a car accident recently and I couldn't just leave him alone here. I saw a lot of posters about a figure skater who lived in Japan. I never heard of him before.

While I was going near the exit I saw a lot of families who met up for family gatherings. I wished my family could do that, sadly it's only me, my mom, and dad. I heard screaming which I could assume was from excitement, I chuckled to myself and left the train station.

I forgot how beautiful Japan's scenery was, it was breathtaking. "Woah! I have to take a picture and show mom!"

I whipped out my phone and took a picture of the landscape. I chuckled again and started my long walk to my dad's apartment. He said he was feeling better so the hospital released him. Just in case I'll be staying in Japan for about two years.

~~

I softly knocked on the apartment door. After about two minutes the door was open, I quickly dropped my bags and hugged my dad.

"I missed you dad!" I squeezed my dad "I missed you too dear!" We stopped hugging and we had huge smiles on our faces. I was always told I looked like my dad when I smiled.

"Come in, come in! I cleaned the guest room for you!" He shut the door.

"Thanks, Dad, is it ok if I watched some Tv? I'm quite tired from the trip." I walked into the guest room which would now be my room for a while. It was nice, there was a twin sides bed in the middle of the room. A dresser on the right side of the wall with a tv on top of it. The whole back wall was a glass door with a balcony to overlook the ocean.

I put my two bags on the bed and walked over to the glass door, I opened the door and walked onto the balcony. The view was amazing, the sun was setting and I managed to watch a dolphin jump out of the water!

I walked back in and walked into the living room. Dad was making dinner, I wasn't ok with the idea but as stubborn as he is I knew I shouldn't try to stop him.

I plopped down on the couch and turned the television on, the news was currently on.

There were just talking about the weather.

"(Y/N), Dinner's ready!" I turned off the television and walked into the kitchen. The food smelt wonderful, "When did you learn how to cook?"

We both started laughing, "Well, when you live on your own you gotta learn how to cook!" I stopped smiling. "Dad I have a question..."

"What is it, honey?" He motioned me to sit. "Well, it's just that. I was never told why you and mom split, you to still get along just fine..." I didn't want to start an agreement but I had to know.

Dad started to look uneased, "All you need to know is me and your mother have different methods for raising a child and it lead to a divorce." He sat down and started to eat in silents.

I made things awkward and I started to eat as well, I felt bad for bringing it up but I had to know something. After dinner, I went into my bedroom and just sat around. I was pretty bored since my phone wasn't working.

I plan on getting a new phone soon but it's gonna take a while, suddenly my dad walked in. "Hey I know you're probably about to sleep but I think you would like this. There's an ice-skating ring near a hot spring if you'd like to go one day."

My father then closed the door, he looked really tired. 'An ice skating ring? I haven't figured skated in years. Maybe I can go there tomorrow after I get a new phone of course.' With that that I went to bed, I slept like a rock.
