Broken Bones

<No-ones POV>

Midoryia tiptoed into class, hoping no one would notice, but failed miserably as Ochako turned her focus towards Deku and smiled.

"Midoryia, why are you late?", Aizawa questioned, sounding rather annoyed and miserable while turning his head slightly to the side.

"A-ah...I went to bed late and overslept.." , Midoryia said rather quietly, fidgeting with his fingers.

"I'm afraid I'll have to give you detention then", Aizawa shrugged. As the words flew out of his mouth and travelled through one of Deku's ears to another, he froze. "I can't be late for the meet up with Ochako!", Deku thought, unsure on what to do. Suddenly a familiar voice spoke, it was Ochako!

"But sensei, Deku has been through a lot, he also had a medical appointment about his uhh-"

Uraraka was obviously making up and excuse at the very second and didn't have time to rehearse what she was going to say. With a quick glance to Deku, she found the exact words to tell Aizawa. Deku quickly pointed at Bakugo who was fiddling with his pencil near by. Then she remembered, he's always snapping pencils and then throwing them at Deku!

"He broke his finger!", she exclaimed confidently, knowing the expression that printed onto Aizawa's face showed how she had convinced him. Meanwhile Deku was trying to hide hand.

"Midoryia broke his finger? He should've told me earlier. Alright then, he gets a pass from detention. I'll get Recovery girl when I can for you", he replied, sounding so unbothered and unamused,"Midoryia can stay in his dorm for the day".

A huge grin plastered on the boy's face, he'd never felt luckier!

<Deku's POV>

I didn't have to do any work today, I was so lucky! I then nodded violently and dashed out the room and back to my dorm, where I threw my backpack onto the floor and pounced onto my bed, sighing in relief. I couldn't believe Aizawa believed her, though I am a hero in training, it would make sense if I did have injuries, small or big. I then decided to finish any assignments that I hadn't completed until I fell asleep.

LATER THAT DAY

<Ochako POV>

Phew, Deku nearly got caught! Thank God sensei believed me or else I would've had it. I should find Iida-kun and Todoroki-kun since Deku won't be able to join us to make my excuse believable. Deku was probably working on his fighting and quirk skills, and I should probably be doing the same. I want to be just like Deku! He's such a giant inspiration and looking at how far he's gone as my best friend, I'm sure I'll be just like him in no time!

Todoroki-kun and Iida-kun was eating at the lunch table we normally ate on. Todoroki had his usual cold soba and Iida had beef stew, hot and fresh. I sat down at the table and got out my home-made mochi, excited to be able to eat something delicious after a week of vegetables and fruit!

As I ate my food I thought on what Deku would have brought, Katsudon? Sushi? Udon? Tofu? I didn't really know to be honest.

"Did Midoryia actually break his finger?", Todoroki asked. I looked away, I knew telling the truth would make the situation Deku and I was in even more troublesome. "He didn't tell me about it.", Todoroki frowned, it was unusual for Deku to not be in.

"Yes, he told me when everyone had fallen asleep," I replied. "That's why he was late for class". Todoroki nodded and continued to fill his cheeks with the delicious soba. As I ate my delectable mochi I looked around, checking if everyone was there until I realised..
