I pull my phone out of my pocket and pause my music as I walk up to my front door. I feel a cool autumn breeze flow through my hair before I let myself inside. As I walk in, I see both of my parents sitting on the couch watching TV as I dropped my bag on the floor.

"How was your day?" my Dad asks. He and my Mom looked stilted. "Unusual," I thought to myself, but I pushed it aside and answered the question at hand.

"Pretty good, I'm now ahead of my class in piano which is pretty rad, and I got an A on my health test" I stated, beaming with pride. Mom looks over towards me and smiles.

"That's wonderful, honey!" she says as she gets up off the couch, walking towards me. She gives me a warm hug that I return, but for some strange reason it didn't feel right. It just didn't feel like her. She walks into the kitchen and I take her place on the couch. I noticed that my dad was wearing his glasses, which he usually only wears when he's driving. He smiled at me and spoke.

"I'm so proud of you, honey! Got any homework to do?"

"Yeah, I should finish it now" I replied, picking my bag up and heading up the stairs to my room.

"Oh, and while you're up there, don't go into our room, please" he says to me with a smile. I stop dead in my tracks. I never go into their room anyways, so why would they bother telling me not to go in now? There's something going on, and I intend to find out what.

"Alright" I reply as I jog up the stairs. As I walk into my room, I drop my bag at the doorway and sit in the middle of my room. "What the hell is going on?" I think to myself. "Should I go into their room? Should I call the police? Or are they just playing some strange prank on me? should I go into their room?"  My questions swirl around in my head, wondering if I should adventure into their room. I decided that I had to know what was up, and I might not find out unless I checked it out. I heaved myself off the floor and walked to their door. I procrastinated, scared that I might find god knows what in there. but I pull myself together, and opened the door. The bed appeared to have two people under the blankets, which made my heart sink down to my stomach. "What the hell?"  I thought, my hear rate rising. Last time I checked, no one else lives with us...

I tip-toed towards the bed, seeing spots of blood on the quilt. I swallowed hard, and pulled back the covers, revealing two dead bodies that resembled my parents. that were my parents. I clapped my hand over my mouth to stifle my scream, tears beginning to stream out of my eyes. They each had a large slit on their throat, their bodies cold and lifeless. "What the fuck is happening to me?" I thought to myself as I began to go into panic mode. I knew I had to get out of here, or else I might be next. So I decided that I should tell them I'm going to my friends house and get as far away from here as I could. I grabbed my bag and wiped the tears from my eyes. sighing, I walked down the stairs and played it cool. I swayed over to the couch, where both of my 'parents' were sitting on the couch, watching some reality TV show.

"Hey, is it ok if I go to Hannah's to study? I need some help on my algebra homework" I asked, using the sweetest voice I could muster up. They rose from the couch and began walking towards me.

"You're not going anywhere" my mom said, smirking at me. ok, now I'm freaking out. Were they going to kill me? what did they want from me? out of pure instinct, I screamed as loud as I could, hoping that someone would hear me.

        Dumb move.

They pounced on me, throwing me onto a kitchen chair as I began to scream for help. I squirmed and squealed as they tied me down. They stood tall in front of me as I glared at them.
