Her world seemed to have stopped, she felt as if she should run far far away from here, hide herself somewhere, looking at the man who stood behind her in a perfect black suit. She turned her self to look at him directly and her legs turn into mush. "Sidharth." she whispered. She had dreamt about him, imagined him so many times, she pinched herself to realize that this is actually happening. But he was in the U.S what is he doing her. He looks just the way he used to, just more matured and his body is way more built than before, the rolex still fits him perfectly, the grey suit hugs his body perfectly, his face seems more rugged with the scruff beard and the most important part of him his smirk, he still had a playful smirk on his lips. He broke our gaze, pointing towards the huge window and started walking towards her
as he spoke, "So you already saw the CN tower" She couldn't take her eyes off him, her jaw was wide open not only because she saw him after 10 years but because his presence still gave goosebumps to her. He didn't stop until he was standing right beside her, close enough that his shoulder almost touched hers, and his fingers shut her jaw, and she immediately coughed because of the dryness she felt. "I... Meko laga you were in the USA" This man had gone more hotter and sexier with age, is what her mind kept reminding her.
Sid-I came back a month ago. *he replied without looking at her, his hand pointed behind her" See, that's it, that's the CN tower, and behind it is the co-operate building. *his other hand turned her towards the glass and then reached out to the other side caging her in between himself and the glass. She inhaled his perfume, it still smelled like him* And that over there, is the roger's center. *his breath almost touches the back of her neck, sending a shiver down her spine*
Sheh-Sidha..rthh. *Is all her mouth could say, she really felt like crying out and loud and shouting at him for denying the chemistry since their first encounter, and his name from her mouth was all it took for him to look away from the damn roger's center to her, she could see his reflection in front of her, he closed his eyes inhaling a deep breath*
Sid-Finally, Arjun was the one who managed to get you here. *his words pricked deep in her heart, but before she could barge on him the door bursts open and Arjun steps in the room.*
Arju-Finally tum dono ne ek dusre ko doondh liya *they both turned their back towards the door together, yes they did. But what was this? What was happening?
Did they pull each other towards one another? OR was it the universe, suddenly her thoughts are broken with his movement from beside her, walking towards the other end of the room.*
Sid-Yes, we did. WE found each other. (Arjun moved towards her, pulling her into a swift hug to greet her. She gave him the most awkward smile, his hands stayed on her shoulder until he continued speaking to her.)
Arju-You took a cab here? Zyaada problem toh nahi hui na office dundte hue? *she nodded in a no*
Sid-Shehnaz? *Sidharth called making her stomach flip. "Will you have a drink?" he asked as he approached the bar.
Sheh-Nahi just water is ok.
Sid-Just water? come on just drink something, I will make sure ARjun here wont get you drunk. *he smirked as usual*
Arju-Shut up, Sidharth. So anyways, apartment kaisa laga? Was your flight ok?
Sheh-Yes, business class book karne ke liye thank you. And the apartment is just so perfect, on the 23rd floor, I love the furniture, I could see your effor... *Suddenly sidharth was beside her, handing their drinks to them*
Sid-Here's the wine. *she was in no mood to drink, but if that's what it took for sidharth to step away from her then that's what it is going to be.*
Sheh-Anyways to complete what I was saying, Thank you for the apartment, its wonderful. *she diverts her attention back to Arjun*
Arju-Sorry, but appartment ka credit mein nahi le sakta, its Sidharth's. He owns the building and he has designed all the apartments on that floor himself. *"WTF" was all she could manage before she choked on the wine that hit her throat, bringing her back to reality, Sidharth's hand immediately pats her back but he moves it away as soon as he says her noticing his hand.* Are you okay?
Sheh-YEs, I am its just. Mujhe nahi pata tha, It was his appartment.
Sid-How would you even know? And I am glad you like my choice. *she spun her head in the opposite direction the moment sidharth's gaze meets her, this was not what she was expecting , maybe 10% she did but now that its happening she didn't know how to react, she couldn't get less of sidharth but Arjun was more softer and would never push her towards any other guy unless Sidharth, but that was him 10 years back, this is way too much for her to take in.
Sheh-I am sorry, I am a mess. *she stammered* It's just all this still looks like a dream, and I am a little worried about my time here.
Arju-You don't need to be, that's the reason maine tumhe ek din pehle bulaya, your work day starts from tomorrow. *he smiles, showing his breath-taking dimples* By the way you look beau... *his words are interrupted with sidharth's hard pat on Arjun's back*
Sid-Bro, enough with the flatering, too bad she's not reporting to you. *her heart sank at his statement, did it mean she was reporting to Sidharth? This was a bad idea coming here, how come she expected things to go normal once just once in her life but now her she is standing in front of a man who makes her breathless and the second one she thinks she has a crush on but her heart isnt ready to accept it for some reason.*
Sheh-Ohh, I am confused. Mein tumhe report nahi kar ri? I thought you were the one who hired me.
Arju-Come on brother, don't bother her more then she needs to. And we haven't decided anything yet. So shehnaz do not worry its me you will be reporting to, sidharth here is just having a bad day, that explains his mean behaviour.
Sheh-Umm, so Sidharth is staying? Mujhe laga tha he handled the USA firm?
Arju-Yes he did, but he had to come her to run over some major projects. I am still in-charge of the firm. He will just be assisting and over-looking.
Sid-Yes, but Ms. Gill if you wish I can go back to USA.
Arju-Okay that's it brother, enough for the day. *she peekingly moved her gaze to his and he found him staring at her already, as if he is waiting for her to look at him directly*
Sid-Ohh and by the way speaking about going, Arjun tumne shehnaz ko apni satuday ki party ke bare mein bataya ya nahi? *he had a playful grin on his face, the same grin he had on the night she met him for the first time, her breathing deepened at his words, he just has this weird power which she is unable to explain. She sat up straighter trying to look confident and not at all affected with what he was doing to her*
Arju-No, *Arjun replied sternly* Mujhe nahi lagta she needed to be there.
Sid-Ohh I am sure, she would love too. Usse batau toh sahi. *he folded his arms sterning the liquid in his glass, moving the focus from her to his watch but the grin didn't leave his face*
Sheh-I would love to attend, but what is the party about?
Sid-Arjun's enagegement. *it took her a moment to realise what he was saying*
