Sunset on Valentines Day

Prologue

My friend Sofia Rodriguez and I were hanging out at Makati's Neon Night Bar after a long week from work from Lazaro's Rebuilt Me Company. Today is Saturday, so we've got a lot of time.

"What's your order?" Sofia questioned as we sat in a high, elegant chair in front of the bartender.

"Kahit ano... Ayoko lang nung last time." Sofia arched her brows at me as she moved her head. Magsasalita na dapat siya kaso inunahan ko na. "Remember the last time you got drunk? I don't want it to happen again, para akong pinaparusahan ng Panginoon, My God ang hirap mong alagaan. "

She Just rolled her eyes at me "2 wines for me and for my friend, thank you." 

She addressed the bartender. "Jewel, baka nakakalimutan mo I paid for your carwash for the following day."

"So utang na loob ko pa? I swear I'm not getting any more hard drinks again, lalo nakapag ikaw ang kasama, pasakit." Sofia just laughs at what I've said. For a little moment, I gaze at the dance floor. Puro graduating students ang mga nandito ngayong month.

The students were enjoying their win as recent college grads, and it was a well-deserved victory celebration for them. As I shook my head, the bartender was putting our orders on the table "2 wines for two ladies, here you go. Enjoy!" Sofia smiled at the bartender while walking away.

"Such a flirt. Pati ba naman bartender..."

" Judger ka no?" Sofia defends herself... I looked at her and laugh slightly. "Pero cute naman siya diba?"

Muntik ko na mabuga ang iniinom kong wine at marahan siyang hinampas sa balikat. "Typical Sofia." I said at her.

"You know what? Hanapan na kaya kita ng sex life, para maranasan mo naman, mukha ka lang malandi pero birhen ampota." Sofia burst out at me.

Well, it's true; I'm already 26 years old and never once had a sex life. Essential ba tong sex na to para maging masaya ako? Mukha namang masaya si Sofia sa sex life niya with Andrei, but I'm not jealous. I think I'm contented with my life right now.

".....Ikaw bahala." I simply rolled my eyes at her, oblivious to what I had said. Sofia can be annoying at times, but she is a buddy of mine.

Despite the fact that I felt compelled to punch her in the face. Sinabi ko lang iyon para manahimik na siya.

"Theo's here." Sofia said it as she placed her wine glass down at the table. I pay attention to what Sofia is pointing out.

I saw the man with his charcoal tuck-in pants and a belt, the man wore a simple long-sleeved shirt. "I don't know him," I said as I turned back to order some wine, claiming I didn't even recognize the man's face.

 "One more wine please, thank you." Another glass of wine was placed in front of me by the bartender.

"Pagkakataon mo na to, don't waste a chance Jewel." 

" Sofia, I don't know the guy." In a sarcastic manner, I said to her.

"Theo and Carl are heading on our way, magayos ka bilis. " Nagmamadaling akto ni Sofia, nilabas niya ang lipbalm niya at nilagyan ako ng konti.

"Bakit ba ang dami mong kilala?" naiinis kong sabi.

"Oh Sofia, dito ka narin pala tumatambay?" Sofia was greeted by a wave and an embrace from Theo's companion. Of course, I was aware that Sofia was a delightful person. In fact, he is far too friendly. 

"I'm with Theo." Carl said.

" Yeah right, I haven't heard any news from you. Hi, Theo!" Sofia greeted Theo as well. Theo raised his brows and waved his right hand to greet Sofia, but he did not say anything.

" What are you doing here guys?" Sofia Asked.

Umorder ako ng hard drink after ko mag wine, wala akong pakealam sinasabi nila, hindi ko rin naman masyado marinig dahil malakas ang disco music.

"Obviously, iinom. Broken to e, If you and your friend are willing to join us, I'll be glad."

"It's fine, of course. Dito nalang kayo umupo sa tabi namin. " Sofia Insisted. Carl was seated alongside Sofia to get along with her when I turned around at the left side of my shoulder.

Of course, Theo, Carl's friend, came to mind. Saan siya umupo? Nevermind. Lumingon ako sa bandang kanan ko,

I saw Theo was also sitting beside me.
