Chapter 4 Betrayal, Trust, and Truth

Rusty then starts to explain on how he figured it out. Rusty- Remember when I said the Soler system has an ancient stargate near the out skirts of the system. Crystal-I remember. Rusty- My necklace can activate the gate to it. Crystal-How could it activate it? The race that built gates died a long time and how could it have the coordinates. Rusty then with a surprise look says the berserker. Crystal- You mean the black one with red markings. Rusty-Yes. Just before Niro attacked my necklace glowed for a few mins with several symbols on them that look the same on the ancient gate. Crystal- How can that be and are you shore I mean those came from a Berserker can you really trust it? Rusty- Not really but if it wanted me dead it would have killed me there. He then gets up to walk outside for some air and explain the rest as crystal follows. 

Rusty- Crystal aren't we coming up on stargate to get to the next quadrant? Crystal- Yes. Rusty-Later I'm going to talk with admiral Karen about requisitioning a ship to me to get there a head of the fleet. Crystal- Do you think shell let you? Rusty-Maybe but I won't know till I speak with her. Crystal- I understand. Rusty- I should probably get ready and head out. Was there something you wanted to ask me? Crystal with a sad look says no. Rusty reply with ok. Eventually rusty thanks crystal for letting him stay over night and heads out towards the base. Crystal saddens after rusty leaves then she starts to think maybe he doesn't have feelings for me then heads inside. While walking towards hq rusty notices spike and his squadron near the front. He was about to say hi but then sees dozens of troops surround and arrest them including some of the guards. Rusty- What the hell is going on? Trooper- It's the traitor. All units kill him. They then all start to shoot at him. Rusty manages to duck behind a truck but not before being shot in the arm. While bleeding rusty manages to duck into the sewers to avoid getting hit again. Eventually the troops stop shooting and go to rusty was and see where he went. Trooper- Sir the traitor managed to escape through sewers, but he's wounded. Mysterious voice- Have your men sweep the area above and below. Don't kill him all do that myself. Trooper- yes sir. Mysterious voice- 

Today is the day we take back our home planet earth. The rogue troops then reply with a hooray. While they look for him rusty manages to get back crystals before the rogue troops could find him. Crystal is still home and saddened about the recent events. While getting up she hears a knock-on door and when she opens it to see rusty holding his arm with blood on it. Crystal- Rusty oh my god what happened? As she quickly takes him to bathroom rusty explains. Rusty- I was heading towards hq to report in when I saw dozens of troops near the building arresting the guards and Blue knight squadron. Before I could do anything, they yell it's the traitor and opened fired on me. Luckily, I was able to give them slip but not before being shot it happened when I took cover. 

Crystal while patching him ask why would they do that? Rusty- I'm betting Niro has something do with it. he was the one who accused me of being a traitor that day the berserker spoke to me and must have persuaded someone powerful to try and kill me. Crystal replies with but why would they do this why now as she brings him out to the living room. Rusty-I think were about to find out. As he points to the screen changing. Admiral fletcher- Attention citizens this is admiral fletcher in effective today admiral Karen has been relieved of command of this entire fleet and I will be taking command. For to long the berserkers have been hunting all, trying to wipe us out well I say enough. I'd have already talked with the other colony fleets militia to form up in the next system and then retake earth. They then start to hear screaming and yelling coming from the screen asking what will happen to the colony ships, are you really going to leave use? They then hear him continue. Admiral fletcher-All citizens that have any news on this you are to report him in. 

As he shows a picture of rusty on the screen. Rusty- That cant be good. Crystal- I don't understand why would admiral fletcher do this even with combining the other ships from the colony fleets that still wont be enough to take back earth. Rusty- Will figure that out later right now I need to get out of here before fletcher's trooper find me. But before he could do that knock out gas come flying in through the windows. Rusty- crystal get out of here be- before, rusty wasn't not able speak his sentence and both he and crystal were knocked. Once they were unconscious troops then move and behind them is Niro. Trooper- The intel was correct sir he is here. Shall we have him executed. Niro- No take him to the brig Admiral fletcher has questions for him. Trooper- And what about her?
