Instead of acknowledging it, I pull leftover pasta out of the fridge, knowing they would mind me eating their food. The rest of the night, we sit and talk around the fire, getting to know each other's lives. Kaden works as a financial advisor and has more adventurous hobbies. Climbing mountains, exploring old mines, and skiing. Three things I would never do, but he likes to cook, which I love.
Lincoln was a cop since he was eighteen, but once he discovered that the police force was not all it seemed to be after two years, he quit and went to college to get his environmental science degree. He works with companies in Colorado to find the best ways to be environmentally kind while building buildings and using energy safely. For a while now he's been into music, even playing me I'm Yours by Jason Mraz on the acoustic guitar and reading.
Cooper owns the ranch that they live on. Of course, the brothers help when they can, but he does all the handy work and takes care of the livestock. After graduating high school, he knew he didn't want to go to school any longer and decided to go straight to work.
Most of his hobbies include working on the ranch, building things, chopping wood, riding horses. I don't necessarily think those are hobbies, they are his job, but he loves it. He's so passionate about the animals, even though he does eat some of them for dinner. Not his specific animals, but he's no vegan. He built their wrap-around front porch about two years ago.
Christian went to college but didn't do well, so George (his father) is training him to take over the bookstore. He has always been interested in being an entrepreneur, but he could never think of a business and because the town of Creede is so small - and didn't want to leave except for college - he was too afraid to get his own started. It's probably a good thing that he's going to take over for his father once George is done.
Something I notice the most about them is how passionate they are about mundane things. Like they working around the house, cleaning and cooking, and even baking. They enjoy living in a clean, tidy environment. They find pleasure in the quiet moments of life and talking to one another by the fire. You can tell that the brothers have a lot of love for each other, and it's kind of amazing to be a part of the group.
Not that I'm a part of it, but being there to see it, it's really interesting.
They push each other to be better, support one another, and allow vulnerability between a group of men that I think is rare. Even my fathers aren't as open about their feelings as the Finches. I also notice how much they like to touch me. Constantly. Through the past few hours, they have literally passed me around the circle (not that I mind), hoping that they all get a turn to cuddle with me. It's adorable, they're adorable.
Around seven o'clock, we finally hear a knock on the door of Carson coming back home. Kaden lifts me up and places me in Cooper's lap as he makes his way to the front door. The kid comes bounding into the room, shouting about how amazing his day was at school and all the things they learned.
I can't help but smile at the excitement showing purely on the boy's face. He hugs everyone as we say goodbye to Bertha who dropped him off. She gives me a kiss on the cheek, eyeing me in Cooper's lap, and winking at me while she instantly understands the situation.
Hiding the blush on my face will do me no good, so I don't try to. Lincoln tugs at my hand, guiding me off of Cooper's lap (much to his dissatisfaction), and into the kitchen. As he cooks dinner, which smells so fucking good, he keeps me company. I guess the other boys had something else to do.
"Smells delicious in here."
Christian rumbling voice comes up from behind me, pressing a kiss to my neck as he rubs my arms affectionately.
"It's not me. Linc did all the work."
"As he should."
"Chris, you are such an asshole."
"Language around the lady."
I slap his arm as a teasing smile makes its way to his face. His lips lean down to mine, and he softly presses them against my own. He turns passionate, kissing me deeper, kissing me harder. The kiss lasts what feels like hours before he begins to back away.
His teeth bite my bottom as he pulls away from me for us to breathe. I roll my eyes, causing a hand to come down and slap me against my butt. I gasp at the stinging sensation while waves of arousal travel from my head to my toes. I have never been spanked that hard before, but I love it.
Holy shit, I love it.
