It had been a few weeks since the happenings of Christmas time, and Connor and Eyasluna had been neigh inseparable. Aunt Hilda had told Aunt Zelda about her true identity, albeit, rather unintentionally.
Connor had started wearing his mother's glasses, too. The large frames didn't look too out of place, nor did whatever prescription she had in them affect his eyes negatively whatsoever.
He still hadn't told Sabrina about Eyasluna yet, she'd been so consumed with her own Harvey problems that he didn't feel like adding onto them. A stupid decision, he knew, but he just couldn't find it in himself to burden her even more.
It would undoubtedly bite him in the rear later.
"You okay," 'Luna's voice pulled Connor out of his thoughts.
"You can read my mind, 'Luna," He lazily replied, "When am I ever?"
The two were sitting in the middle of the field where he'd summoned her all that time ago. He'd wanted some space from Sabrina's blaring music, and his kitsune tended to follow him wherever he went.
"Oh, come on, darling," She playfully chastised, "It's not that bad."
"Darling," He raised an eyebrow, the girl giggling at his action.
"Seriously, though," She dropped her head onto his shoulder, "You're overthinking this stuff, like normal, and need to have a little faith. In both your sister and yourself. You're a--"
"Don't say it."
"It's not a bad thing."
"It is in this family. Especially with how enthralled the Dark Lord is with Sabrina."
"You worry too much."
"Says the one who nearly lost her mind when I blasted the Red Angel," He teased, playfully nudging her head.
"Hey! That's not funny," She put on a pouty face, "I thought you--thought you died."
"Not anytime soon, my dearest kitsune," He quickly got rid of her pouty face by pulling her head back to the crook of his neck and rubbing her ears, her face sliding into a look of pure bliss.
Connor had quickly found out that her ears and tail were pretty sensitive, simply rubbing them was enough for her to stop talking, close her eyes, and lean back as she enjoyed the feeling.
"Aah," She nuzzled at him, the previous conversation seemingly forgotten.
"You're adorable."
'Luna just sighed happily as Connor continued to run his fingers through her hair and rub her fluffy ears.
