After my shift come home to my husband and daughter eating dinner. "What couldn't wait for me?" I ask jokingly because our daughter is only 4 months old. "Not according to your daughter." My husband said he is an average-height muscle-brown guy named Carlos. We met on the job over four years ago. We met when there was a bank robbery. I sat down next to my daughter and picked up her spoon to start feeding her. "So how was the first day?" Carlos ask. "It was good we didn't have many calls. I missed Ronda through. Yours?"
"It was alright we had called about the break-in. Turned out that guy was living in a women's wall. From what we can tell probably for a year. I also saw Michelle today. She seemed good but we couldn't talk for long. She was worried about her sister and left to see her. "
"Is her sister still living on the streets?" I asked, giving Ronda another spoon. "Michelle has convinced her to live with her but she keeps running away."
"Poor her, I can't imagine trying to help someone who doesn't want it 24/7."
"Yeah," he agreed then our conversation went dead. We ate dinner in silence.
