Prisoner
by. Julio Czar B. Monteron
The beast remained a monster
staring at the endless sea
wondering when the world would end
and finally set him free
The beast remained a monster
singing a lonesome song
lamenting the heavy burden
that once made him strong
The beast remained a monster
till the sunshine came
the sea was dark no more
everything was covered in golden flame
The beast remained a monster
but his anger was drained
A rose stood calmly beside him
while his eyes endlessly rained
The beast remained a monster
a peaceful one unlike before
his fangs gone and his wings torn
wandering alone no more
