12- Tsukishima is Dating a Black Girl?!

"Thanks for helping out today, Eva-San. I'm sorry it ran so long past school hours." My teacher apologizes.

"Ah, it's okay! No problem for me." I chuckle a bit.

After school had ended, our teacher asked me to stay behind to help file and move things to another classroom. She said she felt bad asking me since I've barely come back to school, but I'm the only one in the class who doesn't have club activities.

I didn't mind doing it, it gave me something to pass the time. I would have just been home studying Japanese anyways until Tsukishima got out of practice.

"You're speaking very well now! Your progress is very rapid." She smiles brightly and I look away shyly.

"Thank you Sensei."

It's all thanks to Tsukishima though if I'm being honest.

"I won't keep you any longer then- oh! First here's a thank you." She hurriedly rushes to her desk, grabbing a tote bag. "The church I go to bought candy for the kids, but there ended up being so much left over. Please take it as a sign of my appreciation. Do you like candy?" She asks, holding the bag out with two hands.

I gingerly grab the straps, bowing.

"Ah, sometimes- but not too much. But some my friends like sweets a lot! So I'll be happy to share with them. Thank you!" I bow again.

We exchange a few more words and then a proper goodbye before I head out. I hum as I look at my phone.

Tsukishima's practice should be ending right now. I've never seen him play before, should I go to the gym?

Even though we've been dating for a little bit now as well, I still haven't seen him play. He's said he didn't exactly love the idea of me going, though I'm not sure why. I respected his wishes though, and didn't press any further.

I can surprise him right now though! Then Yamaguchi, him, and I can all walk home together and eat some candy.

Excited, I fast walk to the door that leads outside and to the gym. Just before I'm about to push it open, I look out the small windows on the door and see Tsukishima outside. My head tilts when I see a girl bowing towards him, holding out a letter and a box of chocolates.

My eyebrows furrow when he takes them from her. He says a few words, his expression untelling of any emotions and the girl gives a smile before quickly walking away.

I see Yamaguchi quickly run out the gym and start talking to Tsukishima. The tall boy just shrugs and hands his friend the letter without looking at it. Yamaguchi laughs, taking the letter and disappearing into the gym again.

I see Tsukishima take out his phone so I assume it's a good time to stop spying on him. As soon as I walk out, my phone dings with a notification. With that sound, and then the sound of the door closing right after, he looks up at me.

"Hi Tsukishi-"

"What are you doing here?" He cuts me off, eyes widening.

The frown comes back onto my face and I try to walk towards him but he rushes over to me, slight panic in his voice as he puts his hands on my arms.

"You have to go, okay? Please go home- I'll meet you at your house." He starts gently pushing me back towards the door.

"W-What? Why?" I put my hands on his chest, trying to stop him.

My mind instantly flies to the girl who seemed like she just confessed to him and I plant my feet in the ground, crossing my arms

"Is it because of the girl you were just with?" I ask and he stops, frowning.
