Struggles

>Chapter 3: Drunk Blair<

The rest of the week goes by uneventfully. I teach the class for Mr. Roger, I grade papers, and I do the rest of the schoolwork with ease. Everything is fine until the bell rings to go home on Friday. Tess hasn't harrased me any to go, but she has been throwing around some hints that I should go. Quickly, I gather my stuff and grab the stack of papers awaiting me on Mr. Roger's desk. I walk out of the room and walk fast towards my locker to see Tess and Serena waiting by it. Serena is the first one to see me and she waves at me catching Tess' attention. They both stare at me as I make my way to my locker wordlessly. Knowing what they're going to say, I ignore them and put in my combination and grab my neccessary item.

"Sooo.." Serena says smiling poking me, with her elbow, in the side.

"Fine. I'll go but you the same rules apply as last time. I don't want to be alone, and I need a ride to and from." I say closing my locker and situating my bag on my shoulder.

"YES! Okay, okay. Same rules apply, blah blah blah. What are you going to wear? You know what, girls we're going on a quick shopping trip. Whatever you have hanging in your closets aren't good enough. This party is the most important and the biggest party of the year. We need jewlery, we need shoes, we need outfits, we need the right hair, and most importantly, MAKE-UP! Serena and Blair, text your parents and tell them you're going shopping with me." she says pulling our cellphones out our purses. We both start laughing, but we're used to hyper Tess."

I text my mom and she's fine with it. Serena gives us the nod and we all head for our cars.

"We're going in one car, so everyone follow Blair home first and then to Serena's house. We're driving my awesome, EXPENSIVE, car." she says and claps her hands together then grabbing her keys to unlock her car.

I unlock my own car and start it situating myself in the driver's seat. We drive to my house and I park it taking out my keys, putting them back in my purse, making sure to lock the car first. After getting into the passenger's seat of Tess' car we drive to Serena's house which isn't too far from here.

We arrive to Serena's house and she does the same thing as me, climbing into the back seat. Tess reaches to turn up the radio, and we sing along to the songs on the radio until we reach the crowded mall. Once Tess parks the car, we get it out and run towards the doors.

We come home to Tess' house and get dressed. Serena is wearing a simple short, waving light blue dress, with tiny designs, that's tight in the chest area, but flows out at the waist. She's wearing a white necklace, light make-up, and her blonde hair is fixed to look wavy. Tess is wearing a dark purple lace dress that comes down to her knees. She's wearing a black necklace, somewhat heavy make-up, and her light brown hair is styled to perfection. I'm wearing a simple, short, yellow dress with ruffles and a skinny black belt around the waist. My dark brown hair is curled and put up into a messy bun with strands of hair falling out. I'm wearing a golden locket necklace and light make-up matching my outfit. All of our shoes are white, except they are in different styles.

"We. Look. HOT!" Serena squeals waving her hands around in the air. Tess and I nod while we look in the mirror smiling.

"Lets go, girls." Tess says and we nod.

When we arrive at the party, there's even more people than the last party I went to. Even more red solo cups are all over the floor, and the music is a lot louder. More couples are making out and lots of others are heading upstairs... Tess grabs mine and Serena's wrists and leads us to the kitchen again. The kitchen only has around five people lingering around, but they're just refilling their drinks and leaving. Ben and Sam walk in through the other doorway and greet all of us.

"Nice outfits," Ben says nodding in approval giving me and Serena a high five then wrapping his arms around Tess.

"You girls look cute." Sam laughs. He goes straight to Serena and wraps his arms around her waist giving her a kiss on her temple then on her lips.

Again, I feel akward so I walk over to the drinks and grab a cup. I find the blue liquid again and pour it in my cup casually.

"Blair, not too much, okay? I don't want to deal with a drunk you again." Tess laughs.

I nod and drink the liquid already filling the slight buzz it gives me. A lot of cups later, a slow song plays and a random boy walks up to me asking me if I want to dance. I nod, giggling and walk out to the dance floor.

'What's your name?" he asks smiling, putting his fingers through mine.

"Blair. What's yours?" I ask giggling as we start swaying to the beat.

"Josh." he says getting closer.

His nose brushes up against mine as we dance slowly to the beat. The song eventually stops and a more up-beat song comes on. We stand there looking at each other for a little while until I feel someone poking my shoulder. I turn around to see Tess standing there with her arms crossed and one eyebrow arched.

"What?" I ask giggling slightly leaning to the side. Josh catches me when I start to fall.

"You drank too much didn't you? You're drunk, aren't you?" she asks gritting her teeth giving me a strong glare.

"Oops." I say and start to giggle, wrapping my arms around Josh's waist. He wraps his arms around me too.

"Blair, I told you! No getting drunk! Ugh! You know what, forget it. You're on your own kid." she says walking away.

I shrug and turn around to see Josh looking at me too. He starts leaning towards me and I do too. Our lips meet almost urgently. His arms wrap around me tighter than they were before. I repeat his actions and we continue this until he moves his hands move to the back of my thighs and lifts me off the ground. I wrap my legs around his waist and put my arms around his neck. He starts moving backwards to the stairs and opens a door to a room, never breaking the kiss. He shuts the door moving towards the bed. I kiss him more urgently and he does the same.
