Chapter Fourteen: Falling for you

Board exams were near, revisions and tests continued as usual. Mathematics and Science became my top priority. I was feeling a little bored because the fun we had was less now as pre boards were over and we had one month study leave. Moreover, I was stuck with my studies the whole day.

Fortunately, Sarah called me for group study session. I immediately agreed to join them without any second thought and to get rid of the boredom in home.

"Hey guys" I waved them as I walked inside the room, it was Divya's idea to conduct group study sessions and either wise she had vacant rooms in her house.
We met at her home to study but most of the time we gossiped and giggled.

I sat next to Sarah  facing Arjun in my front who was engrossed in the books.
I gazed at him, he dug his face in the books, so I averted my gaze and took out my Science book and Physics Practice Book.

"Hey Ishaan" Divya called him out. "Can you help me with this Concave and Convex lens sum?" She said glaring at him, pointing at the sum number.

"Yeah, sure." He nodded his head and examined the problem and started solving, after a while, he said, "You must have made a calculation mistake. Check again"

Divya scrutinized her sum, and solved it again, "You've got quite brains. No wonder you are Physics topper" She complimented Ishaan, grinning and locking eyes with him.
Sometimes eye contact said a lot , without uttering a single word.

I solved all the sums from the Light and Reflection chapter successfully. It is an euphoric feeling, when you successfully solve a sum and especially when you know that it is your weakness. There is a sudden surge of confidence.

"Are you guys going anywhere this week?" I asked all my friends present in the room.

Everyone retracted from their respective tasks and paid attention to me and gave their responses. Most probably, it would be the best time for my farewell party, prior to our examination.

"Why don't we party at our last exam, that would be for our best" Jai suggested, I agreed with him but I would if I could.

"I am leaving the city, the day, our last exam is over. So, it's not possible. That is why I was thinking of the farewell party on the day our class photograph would be clicked. I mean, that would be technically the last day of our tenth standard" I told my friends, with pleading eyes. It was definite that most of them won't agree with me but most of them didn't disagree with me.

"Okay. I am in" Sarah squealed, following Sarah; Veer,Aditya and others agreed.

That was the day when we would receive our admit cards, and our class photograph would be clicked and also the last day of my school.

"Is everyone ready?" The photographer took its position and set the camera.

1..2..3 and...Click!!

I beamed looking at the camera, giving my best look. And after some years, everything will become a memory, I would still question myself, Did really happy moments existed in my life? Did I really have friends!?

The photo session was over, and our class dispersed. Boys in one corner, girls in one corner doing what they always did.

"Hey. Would you come washroom with me?" Siya asked us.

It was ubiquitous among girls, when one goes everyone follows to accompany , going to washroom with bunch of girl friends, only to talk.

"Naina. Do you have something to say to someone" Sarah cleared her throat and looked at me suspiciously.
